Apex Legends won't launch — 0xc000007b

When I try to start the game, I get the error 0xc000007b. 

System: Windows 11 Insider Preview

Version: 26H1

OS Build: 28020.1546 (Canary Channel)

Game platform: Steam

What I have already tried: Verified the integrity of Apex Legends files in Steam — no problems were found.

Reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x64 and x86) — no change.

Checked Easy Anti-Cheat files.

Tried to start the Easy Anti-Cheat service manually — Windows returns Error 87: The parameter is incorrect.

EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe is not present, and the EA Javelin AntiCheat installer does not show Apex Legends.

The EasyAntiCheat_EOS component is present in the Apex installation.

I would prefer to fix the problem without reinstalling Windows or losing my files. I am aware that I am using a Windows Insider Canary build, but Apex worked on this system previously. 

Any help identifying the exact cause would be appreciated.
