Seems a pity that the ribbons for the rewards only get awarded through the mode. I'd hoped Dice had stopped doing that.

'New rewards are available to earn or purchase. Earn Ribbons by playing Frontlines to unlock rewards which are also purchasable separately as store bundles during the Crimson Front event bundles'.

Not that I mind myself as I enjoyed Frontlines in BF1 and BFV, but it would have been nice yo earn them in any official mode still.
