`~ key is annoying, option to toggle off?

Question

So I don't know about anyone else but I never use the console, so why can't I find an option in settings to turn it off? Am I blind or will I just keep missing the 1 key to switch weapons or the F1 key when the pilot of the full transport chopper bails and end up dying?

If there isn't an option to turn it off there really should be as most users won't be doing stuff with commands anyway.

There's a couple of work arounds since there is no option in Battlefield.

You can pull the key off the keyboard
Or you can use 3rd party software like KeyTweak to disable the key

People have been asking DICE for this feature for many years, and you'll probably be waiting many more if you expect DICE to take any action.
