And yet people would rather sit and do nothing than play infantry.
I think that says a lot about the current state of the infantry experience in BF2042.
Players who play AOW Conquest would rather wait in the spawn screen, waiting for a chance to spawn into a vehicle than play infantry. Mainly because of how difficult and rare it is to get one now a days... If I or players like myself wanted to play infantry 24/7 I would be playing infantry only conquest. These are not issues in flashback conquest where vehicle and infantry gameplay is much more balanced per map and player count. So in turn these recent reductions in vehicles/changes not only hurt vehicle gameplay/experience but also infantry experience because more people are in the spawn screen than on the ground as infantry. I prefer to play as both vehicle and infantry and split my time 50/50. But with these vehicle balance changes I'm forced to wait in spawn screen to play a part of the game that is considered rare now and it shouldn't be!
