- @CyberDyme It's true. I was watching JackFrags play yesterday and he addressed the same basic thing: this was not a game ready to be released. These publishers and studios are not being straight forward about their products at launch, and the state they are in. Jack even suggested that they should have put BF2042 out as a free beta. Basically "Help us test and improve this game and if you want pay for it later."
It's one thing for an indie studio to put a game out because they need the revenue to keep improving the game. Even then they are typically up front about it being early access.
EA is a billion dollar operation. This is inexcusable. And it has become a pattern from them. - lookcr4 years agoRising Ace@ArchAngeL-PCX And that's basically what we're doing right now, except on a paid basis, we pay to be testers.
I had seen both videos, I share the same opinion this game shouldn't be released now, his problem is not the Specialists as many say, it's the Map Design, the things that have not been tested, the things that are missing, is clear to me that they had to turn the game into this classic experience when they were aiming for something else, more like a BR, I still have faith that a lot of things will really be fixed, I'm thinking that even the maps will be revised
As bizarre as it is, they've lost a lot of money, not in sales but in stocks, and they'll definitely move to fix it and keep this game alive if it's not more money is going down the drain. - @lookcr I hope your right that they do fix it, but I wonder. Companies like EA tend to want to cut the bad news loose as quickly as possible and move on, hoping the next one will turn things around. That's basically what they did with Battlefront 2 and Battlefield V. They moved people off Battlefront 2 to work on BFV, then closed both down to work on BF2042.
- lookcr4 years agoRising Ace@ArchAngeL-PCX I think they will fix it, the game has a short lifespan and cannot be dropped like that, it will get worse for them, they still need to sell, they still need to recover the money invested and especially show investors that it works And I say this not like "Look how good EA is, it'll fix the game" No, definitely not, they'll fix it to make money because they're currently losing

I bought game on discount to play with my friends on PS5 and this is Fortnitefield, game of mess and disaster, unplayable.
- lookcr4 years agoRising Ace@BHLazio What makes him "Fortnite"?
- @lookcr That makes sense. I hope they do, but I just don't feel like being along for the ride this time. I'm tired of this pattern of showing up broke or with half content. It sets the wrong mood for the game right from the start. And worse, with live service we don't have any idea what to expect for the future. With premium pass, we knew a bunch of DLC was on the way. They shut down BFV with just 18 maps total. BF3 has around 29, BF4 has 33, and BF1 has 31 I beleive....all on premium pass.

- lookcr4 years agoRising Ace@BHLazio I would like you to detail, if you say it's something like that... I don't even know how we can put Skin on the account if the skins we have there are no biggie.
- lookcr4 years agoRising Ace@ArchAngeL-PCX I really don't know, what I think is that they really are more committed to tidying up, because we can't lie in 3 patches they were quick to leave, they are more communicative than before, who knows what has changed, and let's not forget that the new leaders are now starting to work on it.
