2042's biggest issue. Poor map design

IMO the biggest issue in 2042 (besides the technical issues) are the poorly designed maps. Many of the games poor balance issues stem from the poor map design. In general the maps are far too open with little or no cover. Because of this vehicles both land and air can feel op and down right oppressive at times. If more of the capture points were in indoor areas or just had more cover vehicles would feel more balanced. Also, I feel the objectives are poorly spaced out. Lots of them feel cluttered to close to each other and because of this you have tons of players in a small area and huge parts of the map that are simply unused. Having more objectives or having them more evenly spaced out around the map would help spread out the players and action. Every map should have a good balance of areas for infantry to have battles without getting rekt by vehicles over and over. Right now 6 of the 7 maps are far too open with not enough cover and this  favors vehicles, snipers and dmr's. IMO the only map that feels somewhat balanced is manifest. Manifest has a good balance between cover, infantry areas, sniping and vehicle play. I really hope future maps offer a better balance

@DingoBerry17 Simple solution go play BF4 if you want that. The best bet is to wait and see if they bring Metro to portal. No since acting like an impatient entitled child on every post.

@TickTack121Ah yes hourglass, yeah thats a yuck from me also. I don't mind Orbital but you need a team that understands B1 is the most important flag on the map. With B flag in orbital controlled you can control the hottest points on the map. D will be easily secured and likely E.
