5 sec to cancel queuing is a big no no

I don't know if you've noticed but last week with Season IV Dice reduced the delay to cancel queuing from 10 to 5 sec.

As a result, in the absence of a server browser, players who are picky like me, will often miss the countdown, be forced to join the map they don't like and quit immediately afterwards. And there's also a brand-new confirmation message when we're trying to leave.

The reason behind this is pretty transparent: they want to prevent us from choosing our maps and teams, and therefore slow down server formation and game start for their own purely commercial reasons. After all, BF2042 is just about making money.

To which I say, * off. You don't introduce changes like this more than one year in for your sole benefit. If Dice can't offer a proper server selection tool, than they should abstain from forcefully limiting our choices.

That and the weird rotation of Conquest Exodus/64p and Season Conquest/128p, resulting in maps simply disappearing every other week, achieve to put me in a sour mood.

Let me know if you agree and if you find I'm making too big a case out of it.

No, the reason was to get players into the match quicker, instead of waiting for numerous countdowns, cutscene, etc. sitting idle.

Best to pay an attention, isn't five seconds enough to make a single click? 😉
