The wildcat is the main anti air. Other vehicles are just transport and ground to ground. The nlBrawler, the newand Infantry fighting vehicle has a gunner too good as AA, and the 60 mm flak in the MAVs are already doing that function perhaps way too well and outshining the Wildcat. A vehicle like the LATV is merely a transport. We don't want to see people camping at the spawn using the miniguns. We want people to play the objective.

Camping on a cliff with the 30/50mm on the LATV you mean.Which is also a better AA than the minigun

LATV with either set up is viable for anti armor or anti infantry. They can be used for defensive purposes or used to support offensive pushes. The 7.62 minigun can be good on the hovercraft pending the gunner can actually aim and the driver isn't driving like a drunk. Personally I'm not a fan of the "its just a transport folks" that treat the LATV as disposable and give the enemy team another asset by abandoning them.

- BownrInSweatPanz3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@A-RAF2019 You forget that Hovercrafts, MBTs, Wildcats, Rams, Boltes, and even the brawler has the minigun too, and It is one of the worst unlocks/ starting station weapons to have, and even so the minigun isn't even the best for AA. In the LATV, 30mm can snipe and do AA far better what the minigun can and farm infantry, that's truly Overpowered.
At least buffing the minigun would make vehicles spawned by new players/ low level vehicles not absolutely useless in defending itself or leveling up by getting kills, and giving a decent unlock for vehicle progression. - S3SSioN_SoL3 years agoSeasoned Ace@A-RAF2019 I agree with what you've said.
@BownrInSweatPanz The minigun's main purpose on the Light Vehicle is meant to be defensive, not offensive. I think they're currently fine. Aside from the Miniguns on the Nightbird, those miniguns are a little too good.- TTZ_Dipsy3 years agoHero+
They're actually quite powerful in the right (PC) hands; the problem lies with balancing both PC and console at the same time -- Buff damage or aim assist any more and we'll have launch-levels of headache

I'm 99% sure there's no aim assist for vehicle guns. I'm not even sure if it would be possible since vehicle gunners typically need to lead targets.
But I agree with your general point. How do you balance these vehicle gunner positions between console and PC?
I almost never die to transport gunners when playing on last gen. On Gen5/PC servers I can generally expect 1-2 transport deaths per round.

@S3SSioN_SoLit depends on the player on how they use it Defensively or Offensively, but I most proposed the changes to be more consistent in accuracy.
Nightbird and Transport heli miniguns seem to behave different from the land ones and function way better than their land counterpart, so I specified Land Vehicle Miniguns rather than miniguns as a whole. Also Improving Light vehicle damage is more supplemental to the accuracy/spread/ bullet velocity changes, and doesn't have to be included, I'd rather be replaced with less spinup time or less overheat time if more damage to vehicles isn't the option DICE would consider.
