This is great news and a highly requested functionality.

This may give us the ability to shape how we play, with XP. We just need all the game modes available.

Doesn't Portal already have persistent servers?

@246stNSW No.

Presently, if you host a server within Battlefield Portal, it only remains visible within the Server Browser for as long as players are active within it. Once the Server is empty, it shuts down and will no longer be visible within the Server Browser.

@246stNSW According to them, "persistent" means that the server remains up when all the players have left.

Persistent according to the players, and myself, is a server that rolls over to the next map without kicking the players to the lobby.
