CURRENT BALANCE
What pains me the most is the direction of vehicular combat. Back in the day, certain assets used to be strictly ascribed to a specific map (flag zone) to make the gameplay unique and more balanced. You cannot double the assets from a 64-player map and have 128 maps in a similar fashion. What kills me the most is the fact that vehicles cannot be 3D spotted as they used to be in previous BFs. Spotted vehicles show up on the minimap only and my Squad gets the 3D PING last approximated position only. How do the current mechanics with balance aim in a pro-casual direction? What`s worse is the fact that 4 players may occupy the vehicle with auto-repairs. The most interesting thing is the number of rockets a single guy on the battlefield may have and the damage it does... yes with 128 players rocket saturation flying in the mid-air might be quite high. The struggle comes in when a single AT/AA takes on an enemy means of transport.
Do not make me wrong... I love OP vehicles, but I think that solo player vs entire tank crew got worse... even worse than in BF2.
What I really miss is the militaristic feel to a game, modern equipment, and assets, core 2042 is simply futuristic.
IMPLEMENTATION OF NOT ENTIRELY OP ARTILLERY
Another thing is that the assets should behave like a specific type of vehicle, transport helicopter should work as a transport, not as a hovering aerial artillery piece with 40mm cannon...
In BF3 and BF4 have been introduced artillery pieces and the HIMMARs system that was ascribed to specific flagpoles. The artillery is the queen of the battlefield and in the game called Battlefield, there is none of that... 4 rounds shot every 6 seconds with an overall cooldown of 40 seconds would be enough with unreachable/not allowed safe-base to safe-base fire... at least on certain maps would be nice to hop into something more stationary without being too OP with splash damage and too spammy. Drones are a new jam also. The artillery crew could have 2 members, 1 commander and drone operator for spotting and 2nd driver and cannon operator. With a more destructible environment, the fun could be even bigger...
Give the game some spice and more grounded in reality, and bring back the old mechanics that worked just fine.

INFANTRY
I am an Infantry Player, and that`s why I love maps like Strike at Karkand, Operation Locker, Noshahr Canals, Silk Road TDM... and so on. For me Close Quarters expansion was phenomenal. I do enjoy vehicular Conquest but Little Bird and lately hovering 40mm vehicles kill it on every map... little birds should rather be present on less than 25% of the maps as a curiosity rather than 100% available vehicle.
