If you check out the link I just posted above you will find interesting reading on that subject. 

Is 2042 or the next Battlefield game going to get a server browser? EA/DICE have not addressed this and it is basic feature the game the game is missing.

im not sure about 2042 getting one, but i can tell you this.

I WILL NEVER buy a BF game without a server browser.

Nah, other big titles does not have server browser, so why do they have to?

They do not design this game, they are just trying to copy other titles in hope they will get some hype "battlefield also can do that"

I sincerely hope you are right and until it has been ruled out we should all put our weight behind all the threads requesting it.

Hopefully Dice will eventually see sense and listen to the community before it's too late.

There are many players who would disagree with you and there are many threads on these forums spelling out why MM is not acceptable for a BF game.

MM is just an unnecessary frustration which is causing players to spend hours searching for a game or are unable to play at all.!!

Even players who are lucky enough to get to play are  constantly complaining about having to play the same map over and over or don't get to play certain maps for days.

It is evident that BF2042 can not continue with an MM system which is totally inadequate and is destroying players enjoyment of the game.

Anyone having these MM issues should add your weight to this thread daily and keep it at the top of the list.

DICE you really need to take urgent action to resolve this major issue which is driving players away from BF2042.

If they don't add a server browser you may well be in a very long queue of people queueing up to NOT buy the next title.

They will instead be queueing to spend their hard earned cash elsewhere.

Hello Elliot!  Had you seen the tweet from Kevin Johnson, community manager, who said

"Not talked about a whole lot within the community but 100% something we hear and feel. I personally cannot share anything, but know that this has been heard by the team."

Can you allude to which "community" he is talking about?  AFAIK this forum IS the EA official community, do you know why this person would claim "its not talked about a whole lot within the community" when the two largest threads in general chat are about a server browser?

Thanks for your time, I'd love to hear about this discrepancy.  It feels like the person who wrote that thought people were too dumb to check for the most popular threads.

What other communities are there?  I'm told devs dont use steam or reddit for feedback.  You yourself acknowledge its being talked about so I view that as a direct challenge to what Mr TotalFPS is saying.

I'd like to see a server browser in future products, and an end of round team shuffle like first squad always against 2nd and then randomize the rest but within the server.

Playing the same teams forever is excruciatingly boring, but killing the server every time to matchmake again is not the right solution as shown in the feedback at the end of BFV's trial.

@M0istGamer  they probably mean the company hasn't mentioned it to players but they've discussed it in meetings.

Totally agree killing the server every time is killing the game and imho MM will never be acceptable in any BF game. 

I'm happy with mm being present as a quick launch kind of thing, but the server browser has to be restored to its core critical function.

Sorry for the late reply @M0istGamer. Long day at work. 

I hadn't seen that Tweet as I don't use Twitter I'm afraid, but I'd assume, probably wrongly knowing me, he's talking about the community as a whole. I'd like to think that's the case anyway as we're quite spread out between here, Twitter, Reddit and so on. I think they do still monitor Reddit etc as well but they just don't interact there (little aside: I got downvoted heavily for a little comment on r/BattlefieldV. Think im on -75 as of now lol), again though I might be incorrect as I'm making an assumption rather than drawing on any direct knowledge. I honestly don't think TotalFPS intended to suggest anyone was bumb, he doesn't really strike me as that kind of person.

@edgecrusherO0 I get that and wish I had a better response or more information for you and everyone else. It could be a case of there being feedback overload, where the more persistent requests are drowning everything else out, or it could be that there just aren't enough people talking about a browser and/persistent lobbies as a whole. For what it's worth I have passed this on as feedback, and I do know that the CMs read the forums and report back too. 

@ElliotLHOh, I'm not expecting official responses from folks like you (not intended as an insult!). You're not EA/DICE staff. Just expressing my frustrations here again in the hopes that maybe DICE CM's are still reading the forums today. Straatford was yesterday which was nice, but absent them actually posting they've given us no reason to believe they actually read these forums regularly.

I know they say they read the forums, but it just doesn't show through their actions or communications. Only a few hot-topic "legacy features" like scoreboard and VOIP, but those have been begged for since the beta. There's little indication that they're reading the more expansive and granular feedback with any regularity.

I guess we'll see what happens with the "feedback loop", if the post even goes live tomorrow (fully expecting them to delay this again at this point) to see if it's even worth continuing to spend any time against.

I get it, centralizing feedback on a singular topic makes it easy to process, but it's also a pretty bad way to get comprehensive feedback about the game. Everything is connected, you can't isolate individual areas of the game and make changes without taking the rest of the game into consideration. So this "laser focused" feedback approach vs. tackling more wholistic topics just feels frustrating since it feels like the "bare minimum" is still being done.

Would be great to see DICE come out and say, "We've pulled most of the development team off the next BF project and are doubling down on our commitment to BF2042 and our fans. We'll be doing some deep planning and building internal roadmaps for the next few weeks so please be patient while we get everyone back up to speed and a plan in place. Once created, we'll begin sharing details of the roadmap and the overall plan to deliver the game that we promised you." Plus like, maybe an apology for the quality of the game they delivered and repeatedly lying to their community ("AHEAD OF SCHEDULE!") and a bit of humility.

I'm just shouting into the wind though.

I can say with 100% certainty that they already read it and ACTIVELY chosen NOT to respond. Not even by telling us why they DON'T implement it.

The only thing left for us is to keep the threads alive to make sure to other users of the forums that they do not care.

It is just crazy that we are over 4 months since launch and not a single feature mentioned in their own post exists in the game today. An in-game scoreboard was not even originally mentioned. So how that got to the top of the list is beyond me. A Server Browser would've made the most sense to keep that current playerbase engaged. Instead, they let the community erode into next to nothing. The average player count on Steam is now under 2K heading towards 1K. That makes most modes unplayable in several regions. So those players get stuck in MM.

I can honestly say one thing if the next BF title doesn't have a server browser and persistent servers then I'm out.

If it has specialists/heroes in any way, shape or form I'm out.

One nice thing about BF2042 is it has taught me to never buy into the media/hype put out and wait and see what the actually gameplay consists of.
