Add a server browser
DICE, please add a server browser. I cannot find matches in my region(India). I am just stuck on the waiting for players screen and the match never starts or there are only 20-30 players in a match. ...

I don't think that this is a 'tall task', given that it already exists for Portal. I would be willing to bet a (relatively) large sum of money that it is easy to make this available for the AoW modes as well, given this proposal is implemented.
My guess is that it would only need a TINY change (like removing one flag from a filter or query) to make the official Portal modes visible in the server browser for Portal, that already exists.
Persistent servers and a server browser are sorely needed.
Has a single CM or Dev responded or said anything about this yet?

No response yet, but the concrete proposal where I am asking feedback to directly was posted today. And even if we are around here at the weekend, I don't think it would be reasonable to expect the Dice CMs to do the same. I understand that they want to have the weekend off as well. So, I don't see an issue if we have to wait for a reply until early next week.
But then I expect a response. If there is none, we know that they do not care. I keep repeating this, I know, but it is such an easy thing to implement for them (and they did that with rush several times) that anything other than bringing this soon would be an admission that they do not care.

Exactly, DICE should implement the above @DuaneDibbley proposal asap as it is something they should be able to do relatively easily.

They should also make sure they take whatever steps are necessary to ensure that all you guys who currently are unable to join matches get sorted.
Then further down the line implement the full blown Server Browser / Persistent servers we were used to in previous battlefields.
That should hopefully keep everyone happy, I know I definitely would be. 😃
- @Ironhead841 That's what really pisses me off. A server browser for AOW has been a hot topic since Day 1 and they refuse to comment on it. Currently, like half of the topics on the first page are about wanting a server browser......yet nothing but radio silence.
It's infuriating, but also very telling that they have zero plans to implement a server browser for AOW. They would have said something by now since it's a huge point of contention in the community.
What I want at this point, is to hear their justification for the current matchmaking process vs. a server browser. Tell me why they are so hard headed about keeping it the way it is.
We'll never get that either, though. Easier to just ignore us. They already got our money. - @AvocadoPablo they have even commented in other threads, but are avoiding all the Server Browser/MM threads like the plague.
I mean our expectations were low but holy f#*%.

I would be fine with 'we have communicated it to the team'. Because if they really do that, they would have to implement it (as it is simply straight forward improvement of the current situation with negligible effort on their end and virtually no negative on our end).
If they don't, then we would know for a fact that they don't care, despite their claims to the contrary.

If they communicate it to the team, then the team has to discuss it, then they have to agree (if they do) and lastly they will need some time to implement it. Don't get me wrong, I believe it is something that should be implemented ASAP.- @dfk_7677

I think the majority of the playerbase doesn't like specialists, do you think they will be removed from the game?
Also moving all servers to a server browser will uncover how many players are really playing the game right now. Do you think that they would like this to be public knowledge?It is indeed quite possible that they may respond with a non committal answer which just kicks the can further down the road.
If so we need to continually pursue the question with the CM for as long as it takes until we get an answer one way or the other.
We are all in agreement that this problem has been allowed to fester for far too long, this proposal offers a quick way of addressing the problem let's see if they run with it.
MM has been preventing us from playing the game the way we choose that has to change.
We should all be able to play BF2042 the same way we played previous BF titles, not the way MM forces us to play, or in many cases prevents players playing all together. !!
DICE we first of all need urgent answers followed up with urgent action.
14 pages. TLDR.
In general I think new system is better. Rather than being stuck with losing team for next few hours I know that even if we lost this one we are going to be reshuffled and I will get another team instead. That results in less quitting because why to stay to lose again. So losing team get less players, losing players even faster since everyone who joins already see the lost game and quits. And in result server can not be maintained anymore. So in the end it is like new system with few extra steps. I prefer to be in another server with different balance/team.

Match making will still be used to get to the server in the first place. To achieve exactly what you want you can just quit at the end of the round and restart match making to get put into the next (PERSISTENT!) server.
For you, nothing changes, except you would have to quite manually once at the end of the round.

Has DICE even commented on this? Or are they only capable of processing feedback/requests on a single topic at once? This is another "legacy feature" that would greatly improve the experience and has no reason not to exist.

But for those, who want to stay on the same server (especially those of us having more than 3 friends to play together with), this will be MUCH better. Not having to spend several minutes EVERY MATCH just to get onto the same server will be a HUG benefit.
