@CyberDymeTotally agree and it is actually depressing to think how the BF series has sunk to this level.
It is not a shell of the earlier BF's and I shudder to think where the series will end up, that's if it even survives at all.
That is the million dollar question @RayD_O1 !
EA execs agreed that now something substantial had to be made to correct the course of this Titanic that hit the iceberg already a few releases back... So we got the head of the franchise replaced and the chief game designer was let go. Since then we have seen more deciding to go somewhere else and others "helped" on their way out. But we still have a level of key positions and middle level managers who I argue were complicit in this repeated meltdown and "laissez-faire" attitude.
We need to see a substantial change of attitude and culture to get this turned around to deliver great BF products again and it takes that we do cut a bit deeper then many might be comfortable with. But the rot has to go, as we are past the point of taking this casual. Leadership comes top down and several were obviously not mature for the job and their paygrade.
Agreed, MASSIVE changes are needed to save BF2042 and time is definitely not on their side.
Sadly the length of time they have taken to implement minor changes (like a scoreboard) does not inspire me or fill me with any confidence that they can turn this ship around in time.
The Feedback Loop is another example, why would they need to sift through 800+ responses to establish what is wrong with the maps.?
Why is there no proper Roadmap for BF2042, and most importantly why are they refusing to answer any questions on topics which are so important to the player base. ?
It's so glaringly obvious that MM is helping to kill the game and drive players away, why will DICE not give a single reply to the thousands of requests for it to be replaced.?
DICE have managed to create a complete Them and Us culture, there is so much mistrust on these forums driven by the wall of silence players are faced with at every turn.
You can clearly see the levels of frustration have risen dramatically here on the forums over recent weeks, as more and more players realise their input / feedback counts for nothing.
They can only keep slamming the door in our faces for so long, eventually we will all stop knocking on the door and move on to other things.
