Might have already posted in this thread, worth reiterating it. Persistent servers would bring my clan mates to this game. At our peak, we had over a thousand worldwide, smaller now as attrition takes its toll. The BF division could still field 100 or so players at various times, I know there are still clans larger that exist and are not playing this game much. The lack of a server browser is significant limiting sales, the rest of the bugs and broken aspects have been secondary. I’m not sure they realize how important persistent servers are to the gaming community, especially on PC where clans reside. Lost sales and lost players, as it’s apparently cheaper to have cloud servers that must be filled regardless of of the players like it. Bad corporate decisions abound in 2042. I want them to make money, so they make content. It’s symbiotic. Right now it’s 100% one sided, and EA is blowing it.
You are correct, the lack of persistent servers has driven clans away and killed off the social side of BF2042.
It is hard to believe DICE chose this route considering we had them in all previous BF titles, and as you say it has cost them sales.
Bringing back a Server Browser / Persistent Servers is probably the one thing they could do quickly to bring back the most players and possibly save BF2042.
