Haha yeah now if only I could work miracles or wave a magic wand our quest for a Server Browser/Persistent Servers would soon be over😬

In the meantime we can only do what we are doing and hope that we eventually convince DICE that BF2042 is unworkable with the current MM system.

Gaming would certainly be a lot more enjoyable if we could simply choose our own server, stay on it and play through the complete map rotation with friends etc.

No more wasting time in lobbies wondering what map you will be allowed to play.

BF used to be about choices, we used to decide how, when, where and with who we played our games, the sooner we get back to those good old days the better it will be for us all, and for the future of the BF Franchise going forward.

Depressingly, EA has been exceptionally late at adapting to all necessities, and here we find no exception.

Maybe it's all the loopholes through their inefficient decision making processes, and surely it's combined with poor .. (upper?) management, but I wish they'd just employ some common sense and adapt to what the players actually want for once.

glad to help 🙂 I personally have never seen a regional graph but maybe some of the other guys on here could help if they have any knowledge on this.

It is a shame you are having trouble finding servers, it shouldn't be this way in a BF game that's only 9 months old. ☹️

Meanwhile, all my matches yesterday on breakthrough were defense. ALL 9 of them.

Here's my stats profile.

Why have I had 34 hours of Manifest, 33 hours of Discarded, and only 18 hours of Orbital???

That's 16 hours more on Manifest than Orbital! Almost double!!!

Server browser & map rotation when??

Would you strive to inform the community of that yet, EA? By all means, please carry my complaint to the management 🤓

That is a really sad state of affairs. ☹️

All players should have access to play the game, the fact that it has been 8 months for you is a prime example of why MM should be replaced.

 

In every previous BF you would have been able to select a server to play on and avoid this scenario.

 

For players like yourself there is no other solution other than a proper Server Browser / Persistent Servers and I would ask DICE to implement this urgently so ALL players have access to the game they paid for.

 

 

@RayD_O1Just tried to see if I can get a player count by region, but no joy. I did stumble across this though. 51K players at launch, down to 20K in Dec and then dropped down to 7K in Jan with an Average of 2k until Season 1 was launched which went back up to 6k players and now hovering Just below 5k players.

So by my maths, I need another 15k players to materialise out of nowhere so I can have a chance to MM in AOW and play Breakthrough again, because the last time there was 20k players in the game was Dec and that's when I was last able to play Breakthrough with MM "working".

I reckon they need to be pumping out the content now to get player numbers back up, but with the speed they are turning over new maps, and fixing the ones they have already made, I dont know if that's going to happen.

Would they develop a Server Browser to keep a 4-5k current player base happy? I don't know now when you see there was 51k players in the game on launch which haven't even returned to check out Season 1 by the looks of things.

I hope it's 24/7 BREAKTHROUGH, and mixed Kaleidoscope & Exposure, because I'm not excited for Kaleidoscope.The terrain gives a top-down advantage where you can't see people uphill well. It also has poor capture points, ruining the infantry enjoyment. There's no back and forth; you're holding, you're flanked, and now the sector is lost with no chance to recap. Multi-point sectors are a huge dynamic.

I'm fed up with playing trash maps. I'm sick of spawning Manifest defender, and failing to arrive at the objective before being obliderated by helicopters still unable to reach cover after 15s of running. And that's unintentionally my top played map.

Games should be fun, but this one's just annoying me when I play since I can't get the mode/maps I'd like.

Something a Server Browser would do......................

You know and I know at this point it ain't ever gonna happen, and we know that they know that we know so they should just come out and say it.

But as per usual it'll be radio silence and then "Hey look a new skin" ain't ya happy now?

It's pathetic.

No server browser

No persistent servers

No proper map rotations

No squad management

And the list goes on and on....

Yes, it has for me too, I really just don't understand the resistance to having a server browser and persistent servers. They've had one in EVERY single Battlefield to date and there is one in Portal so what's the hold-up?

I think I spend at least 15-20 minutes of every hour in this game, waiting in a que of some kind or a "loading" screen.
