Add a server browser
DICE, please add a server browser. I cannot find matches in my region(India). I am just stuck on the waiting for players screen and the match never starts or there are only 20-30 players in a match. ...

Yeah I totally agree mate, if they really want to turn this game around there is no better place to start than by adding a server browser / persistent servers.
Yes I know they have stated that they were not looking at bringing them at this time, but it must still be very much on their radar due to the vast amount of adverse publicity the subject has been given in recent month's on all the various social media platforms.
In simple terms BF2042 will basically never be accepted as a true BF title while MM remains.
DICE themselves have stated that BF2042 fell well short of player expectations and imho the omission of the server browser was the single most damaging mistake they made.
I say again, it's never too late to reverse the decision to use MM and start to undo the damage it has done to the franchise.
It would at least let the community know that they mean what they say about getting BF back to it's roots, and make season 3 and 4 a lot more enjoyable. !

I agree with you. They came out and said they failed but at the same time they should come out and fix the issues. Show the players your not just talk. I feel it’s just talk and no action. The game is half over but there is still time to fix the major issues of the game.

Just look at all the topics thats is going on here. MM, maps, modes, region, rotations etc etc....all issues that can be solved by adding a SB.
Time to end our dream and make it reality. - @RayD_O1 I must admit, even though I know BF2042 is broken, I would still appreciate a Server Browser to allow me to play it.
Even though to me, BF2042 is not a BF game, it's something different, I can get past that and enjoy aspects of it while I play it. If a Server Browser was there I would probably be able to enjoy it a lot more and be content playing it until the next BF title comes out. If the SB does not happen, then my MM, which is absolutely catastrophic at the moment for me here in Australia, will likely see me move on from BF2042 in the next couple of weeks to play the older BF titles or something else. I will come back and check out Season 3 and 4 as I know there will likely be a spike in players so I will be able to MM.
Sad really, but it is what it is.....

Sad really, but it is what it is.....Totally agree with you, the addition of a server browser would allow access for you guys that are currently having trouble getting to play, and it would also make it a lot less frustrating for the rest of us.
I was looking at some LevelCap stuff again on YouTube the other day. He reckon's it's going to be 2024 before the new BF title is released. It's a long wait for a new release particularly if new content for 2042 is not going to progress past Season 4 like most people are saying.
It would be good if they did and in that decision decided to bring back the server browser. Really hoping that the persistent servers in Portal make a difference for me in there. Not sure when that is earmarked to come out so I can check it out?
That's my hope as well, after seeing the angst and backlash over NOT having a server browser/persistent servers in BF2042 that they will include them in their next title.
Unfortunately, EA/Dice have proven themselves to be pretty damn tone-deaf in the past so right now all I can do is hope.
- @Ironhead841 I do feel that the Portal Experience will be carried forward as one of the tool's in the "Battlefield Universe" that they are trying to create. This is why I think that they are entertaining the fact to put in / trail run persistent servers into BF2042's Portal mode currnetly.
The fact that they have come out and said that they will not be implementing a SB into AOW at this stage makes me think that they understand the pros and * of having one, and that hopefully, this will be added into the next title as a minimum. Ideally there will be more content past season 4 and they may revisit it to keep us entertained while we await the launch of the new BF title.

If the next BF is not released until 2024 then it's going to be a very long frustrating 2 years if we are stuck with MM.
If DICE really mean what they say about turning the series around then let's hope they prove it by listening to the community's daily calls for a server browser and by acting accordingly.
We will most probably only end up with 11 AOW maps which is a very small number compared to all previous BF's so at a bare minimum we need to be able to play them all in rotation.
I know I am fed up backing out of the map loading screens just to try and get into a map that I actually want to play.
Playing the same couple of maps over and over is just killing the fun factor.
If BF2042 is left in it's current state then I fear the damage it has done to the reputation of franchise may well be irreversible.
If on the other hand DICE do the right thing and give us a server browser / persistent servers then it will definitely go some way to restoring the trust / confidence that has been lost since the launch of BF2042.
As a long term fan of the BF series I will be saddened if the franchise is allowed to die especially when there is so much potential for it to be great again if managed correctly.
@RayD_O1It will be an extremely frustrating two years, especially if the player base nose dives any further than it is now at the moment. At the moment Exodus Conquest is the only game mode in AOW that I can MM into for a bit. So the maps in there that are on rotation are the only ones I can play. I haven't been able to play any of the original maps now since the launch of Season 1 bar the reworked map. So it's a pretty sad state of affairs for my game play at the moment.
I don't know how you have the patience to cancel out of a game mode and then try join a new one to get the map you want to play. I don't have the luxury or patience to be able to do that. I, feel I am forced to suck it and play the same rotation and map over and over or else I wont be able to play at all.
Have been experimenting in Portal for a while but there is not always maps or modes I want to play in there. I have "Followed" a good server that I was playing on but when I went back to check in out last night it no longer existed and was not saved in my followed folder. So I don't know if Portal is actually working the way it is supposed too.
Today I went through the forum checking posts, after 2min came across two posts from other guys experiencing MM issues and not being able to get a game. I have directed both of them to this thread. I found it disappointing that there query's were left unanswered for over a month by support. In both cases, I was the first person to respond to them.Still need a server browser i waited over a hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for a game

That is a very sad state of affairs, no one should have to go through that just to play the game.
And the sad thing is. you and I and everyone else knows there is a solution available which would resolve all these frustrating issues and allow all players access to all maps at all times. - @RayD_O1 It is. Last night I was only able to MM into one full round of Exodus Conquest, so I ended up playing solo against the AI in there instead for one round, got bored and switched it off.
There must be a lot of other players out there at the moment with similar experiences as I am having who are also turning the game off. This is having a negative effect on the player base as well as pushing people away from the game and into other games. Once they are in other games they are not really returning to play. We will likely see a mass exodus when MW2 launches shortly.
A Server Browser would allow people like me in regions which have a low player count to change our region and join in with the rest of the BF community that are playing in regions with higher player count.
This region option which was in the filter of the original SB should also be brought across to Portal. I dont know how good Persistent Servers are going to go in there with regions with low player base. Will work great if we can change our region.

Yeah it is not acceptable that you and many other players have been abandoned and are left with a game that you can't play.
DICE have a responsibility to ensure all players have access to the game they paid for and this should be their number one priority.
As you rightly say this is having a negative affect on the player base and imho is doing long term damage to the franchise.
I genuinely feel really sorry for all you guys who are left without the ability to even play BF2042, DICE definitely needs to step up and sort this asap. It still amaze me that the decission were made not to have a server browser from the start in this game. And then deciding not to add it later while alot of players can't play because of this missing feature..unbelievable.
And that's not all what is missing and broken...my goodness.

We all are getting screwed over by this company. I wouldn’t care if I did play with Ai because atleast I would be playing and I don’t mean solo where there is no progression. I mean let me play AOW until players join and even if they don’t join let me progress in the season.
@Mackstan71a lot of the entertainment industry these days seems to give me the same vibes as those fantasy stories referring to an advanced Atlantis-like civilization that the humans that came later lost and cannot replicate.
Is this what the decline of a civilization feels like?
Just like how western Roman rule in the provinces deteriorated from something positive into something negative to the point that the locals were happy to see the barbarian invaders replace them.

- @VaenX I dont know how you have the patience to wait for over an hour for a game. I couldnt do it. I normally try play in portal or lately, against AI in AOW. Better than nothing.....
Last night it was over 8 failed MM attempts before I got a match, and I spawned into the end of a round. When that round ended there was only myself and 3 others trying to play again. They left and the cycle started again. Another 4 failed MM attempts before getting to play two matches and I gave up when I couldnt get back in after that.
I'd love to be able to change my region so I can play.
#BringBackTheServerBrowser @Sc0tch_WhiskeyI think that this is a fundamental problem to their current attitude. I think at the very minimum that they should allow players to change region so they can get a game or update MM so that it allows this to happen.
We should all be able to play the game we paid for. If it's fixed, then more people can play it. They owe us that much in the short term at least.I think it will be poor form on EA DICE if they dont continue to deliver content after S4. They are making better content now, and there are elements of the game that are enjoyable. They should focus on keeping their Skeleton crew working on BF2042 in the background at whatever the cost until the new BF title is being released. This would allow things like the SB and a couple of new maps etc. to be worked on.
They owe us that at the very least, we should be able to play the game we payed for to keep some sort of interest in the Franchise. If not, they are doing themselves no favor's. I expect to be able to play in a multiplayer experience.
