Add a server browser
DICE, please add a server browser. I cannot find matches in my region(India). I am just stuck on the waiting for players screen and the match never starts or there are only 20-30 players in a match. ...

It still amaze me that the decission were made not to have a server browser from the start in this game. And then deciding not to add it later while alot of players can't play because of this missing feature..unbelievable.
And that's not all what is missing and broken...my goodness.
@Mackstan71 And they won’t even address the issue of players not being able to play. They are just Quiet and do not care.
@Sc0tch_WhiskeyI think that this is a fundamental problem to their current attitude. I think at the very minimum that they should allow players to change region so they can get a game or update MM so that it allows this to happen.
We should all be able to play the game we paid for. If it's fixed, then more people can play it. They owe us that much in the short term at least.I think it will be poor form on EA DICE if they dont continue to deliver content after S4. They are making better content now, and there are elements of the game that are enjoyable. They should focus on keeping their Skeleton crew working on BF2042 in the background at whatever the cost until the new BF title is being released. This would allow things like the SB and a couple of new maps etc. to be worked on.
They owe us that at the very least, we should be able to play the game we payed for to keep some sort of interest in the Franchise. If not, they are doing themselves no favor's. I expect to be able to play in a multiplayer experience.

The players want to play and they are not letting us. It all comes down to the team working in this to step up. I feel like the team working on this don’t play games. If they did they would know our frustrations.

Maybe it's like what Up_Hawxxeye said, that it might be a decision from above. Maybe a person who's realy persistant to put his stamp on this game...even if it's a big mistake....just a guess.
- @Mackstan71 Well whom ever is the top dog needs to make a statement and tell the BF community what’s going and why there not fixing these issues. But I’m sure they are to busy rolling around in our money like Scrooge Mcduck.

100% this, ALL players have the right to be able to play the game and MM is not providing access so needs to be replaced.
A server browser / persistent servers set up is the only viable solution, it worked for every previous BF and it would work in BF2042.
No one has the time to hang around in MM lobbies in the hope of getting into a match, this should not be happening in 2022 in a BF title.
All this frustration and time wasting could be ended if DICE implemented the server browser that BF2042 so badly needs.
- @Sc0tch_Whiskey 100% upper management taking the leg's out from underneath the Dev's I think. It's happened in every aspect of this game. They have started to turn it around to "redeem themselves" but only to a point. They are not going that extra mile to potentially save this game. All right, it's not a BF game, but it's still a game that until now has not started to get better. They should be looking to put out more than 4 seasons in BF2042 and either fixing MM or introducing the Server Browser into AOW. They owe us more than 4 seasons, they owe us content to fill the gap while we wait another 1.5-2years for the next BF title to come out. They owe us the ability to be able to play the game.

#BringBackTheServerBrowser I also came across this tweet from Lossy, he asked everyone if they appreciate BF2042 more now after playing the MW2 beta. I was surprised by the comments. There seem's to be more support there for BF2042 than I thought. I think the Dev's should take a look and see it's worth putting more time into BF2042 and deliver more content and introduce a Server Browser into BF2042. @Straatford87 any change in the mood in camp for this now?

Thanks for sharing, it would certainly generate a LOT more support if they do what you suggest. - @samboleary Yea it will be a long time before the next game. If they want to keep players playing they need a server browser. Newer games are coming out and players will eventually move on. Smart move is to keep players interested and still paying with 2042.
Yeah, it seems that there is a lot of comparison YT videos between BF2042 & MW2 Beta coming up now and doing pros and c o n s. Will be interesting to see how this space develops. I guess the launch of the game will tell more than just the Beta, but it seems to be a positive response to the Beta currently. But yeah, surprised with the amount of support BF2042 is getting. I guess, if your a BF fan, it's hard to cross back over the COD. I used to play a lot of COD but once I stumbled onto BF3 I couldn't play it again. It's more realistic. I also didn't like the direction COD was going with multicolored camos and guns and it started to feel a lot more like HALO which I couldn't really get into either. This could be a good thing for BF2042 with more people potentially coming back to play it with it's new content. It will be interesting to see what the introduction of the class system and persistent servers in Portal is going to do for the game. Only time will tell I guess.
Still pushing for a SB to be brought in. I think more people will be able to enjoy playing it for what it is while we wait for the next BF title to appear.

If they introduced a server browser / persistent servers to AOW it would give BF2042 the boost in player count that this game desperately needs to survive.
It will be a long haul having to play BF2042 using MM until the release of the next BF, I am not sure that many players will hang around that long. - @RayD_O1 I am concerned that if they do not put a SB in, that the player base will keep taking a weekly hit and it will reach a new low where nobody will be able to play it.

Exactly, the fewer the players the longer the wait which in turn leads to more players leaving out of frustration at not being able to play. This game is doomed...to many flaws...bad decisions, missing key features and so...so..so many other problems. I believe we are forced to take it as it is, no big changes comming to save this game...they just do the minimum to the end. We only can hope ( altho mine is below zerro) that the next game deserve the BF name and have a proper working Server Browser and gameplay.
- @samboleary They will not put in a server browser. That much we know. I wouldn’t doubt that they have the two remaining seasons already completed and ready to be put out for release. They already said there won’t be more after season 4 for now anyways things could change you never know. To them they have already put in all there time and resources and failed. For them it’s time to move on. They already have a win because they have our money. I bet if they were taking a lose in profits they would be doing a lot more to win us back.

Aim Assist is sloppy and completely useless in competing with players who use a PC's keyboard & mouse.
Why doesn't Dice do separate matching for each device? I'm in favor of crossplay, but the current state of the game is too unfair for console players.
A year has passed since this game was released, but why is there still no server browser?

II totally agree with you it has been a long frustrating year due to the lack of a Server Browser / Persistent Servers.
I also fully agree that this is still the biggest issue and it's destroying the whole gameplay experience.
The ever-diminishing player base is mostly down to MM.
BF players want the freedom to choose how they play the game not how MM forces them to play.
I still say that the introduction of a SB / Persistent servers even at this stage would attract players back and make the overall BF2042 experience a lot more enjoyable for everyone.

The only question they ask me is if they can play the game with our friends in the same server, and the answer to that continues to be no. Portal is not the answer, as you have to choose between no AI (so you get full XP) or add in AI to give something for you to shoot at. The lack of a server browser is the largest single item holding this game back.
The fact that this thread is still going with no resolution nor any real answers/commitment by Dice/EA puts this thread in the running for several new rewards that I am going to suggest!!

They have really dropped the ball with BF2042, the BF community was never going to accept a game lacking so many key elements, and sadly the critically low player count is the result of these bad decisions.
As you say lack of a SB is really holding this game back, MM is unworkable in a BF game.
Why can't we have something like this with tech from 2010:
Look at all the optional game modes. We were limited to a specific number and we still aren't today, 12+ years later. This is insane.
From 9 years ago, but we don't have the tech today?
These are the options still alive today. How did we go backward?
