Add a server browser

So the next BF is allegedly coming in October 2025 according to this article :

Insider Gaming has also learned that the next Battlefield title is taking somewhat of a “back to its roots approach” with the likes of 64-player matches, the return of its four-class system, and an overhaul to its destruction systems.

I wonder if the back to it's roots approach will see the return of the Server Browser / Persistent that were the backbone of all previous BF's, I sincerely hope so. 🤞

It's a long time until October 2025, I for one would love to see MM replaced during the lifetime of BF2042. 

With Season 7 just around the corner wouldn't it be good if they added a Server Browser / Persistent Servers, just think of the boost it would give to BF2042.................

I can't think of any one thing that would vastly improve the game but a Server Browser/Persistent Servers. Hopefully our persistence pays off 😉

Would a server browser even be worth it at this point into the game? there's probably another year left of support. I'm not too too tech savvy, but if it's easy to add a server browser then yes go for it. But, if it's a lot of work I'd rather have them add more content especially in the way of maps.

Without a doubt it is the #1 QoL improvement still missing from BF2042, imho it will never be a true BF title without both a SB / PS.

I’m hopeful that the importance of a SB to the community is being heard by EA & Dice, this might be the longest forum thread in the history of EA which speaks volumes about what we want for the next game. I’d love to see it added, it really is too little too late at this stage, so my focus is on the next game and its success will hinge on the inclusion of a browser. I know the clans certainly feel this way. The lack of it is why the other 100+ players from ATF didn’t get 2042. We’re just a small group, add all of the clan players up and they’re leaving a lot of potential buyers on the table.

Most likely the next BF will have a server browser, and I'm sure it will. If it doesn't, then there's something wrong with EA if it does have a server there still something wrong with them 🤣

It's too late now into BF 2042 life cycle. But, then again it's always never too late to ride a bike 😎

I would say a Server Browser or lack off one will be a real Dealbreaker for the vast majority of clans.

A Server Browser / Persistent Servers has been the backbone of all previous BF's and imho needs to be reinstated asap.

MM could remain as a Quick Match option for anyone who wants to use it, but a SB / PS is essential for all players / clans to function properly.

BF 2042 would have been amazing with a server browser. I would of actually talked on the mic and joined a clan and been more team focused. All it is just random gaming and you never know what your going to get.

For sure a server browser is one of the most important features that clans and platoons require

But the game itself needs to be quality and stay true to the Battlefield formula as well. Most members of my platoon left after EA/Dice cancelled the live service of BFV, and most of them did not return for BF2042 because at launch it was not Battlefield, with it’s solo hero nature.

In previous titles you would clearly and often see clans in all servers, by means of people running clan tags. The whole infrastructure around clans has been abandoned in BF2042 unfortunately

I am at Level S336 and have played 1 round in the last month. 

Literally, the biggest reason I do not play is the lack of a server browser. I am so sick of the non-persistent lobbies and ridiculous queues. I don't even want to know how many hours I have spent "waiting for players". 

Yeah, waiting for players is the worst next to being put into a lobby with no tickets left? A SB/PS would fix this.

Yep that's been my argument all along. Keep the quick-join/let me play/get me in a game asap button on the front page with a tab next to it with the existing servers if you want to find one to co-join with buddies. It's nice that there's a party system to begin with, but it's still so limited. I'm glad that they eventually added a way to join a full party (even though it can be incredibly annoying when they get in and then you sit in a queue waiting for someone to leave every match). But these issues have largely been solved in the previous games.

Most obviously it all comes down to the BR/ER roots of "it doesn't matter if there's persistent servers when you're 128 specialists dropping down and trying to out-royale the other team"

The amount of time wasted and frustration caused by hanging around in MM lobbies has been a massive turn off in BF2042, the sooner MM is replaced the better.

Imho BF2042 and all future BF's need a proper SB / PS as MM simply does not cater for players needs.

Without a proper server browser and persistent servers, players / clans are never going to be able to build / maintain those relationships that were the backbone of previous BF's.

As I have said before BF2042 seems soulless in comparison to previous Battlefields..

Imho DICE need to replace MM asap with a proper SB / PS for AOW so we can start to rebuild the BF Community that has been absent in BF2042.

We all want what's best for the Battlefield franchise going forward, so DICE please make it happen.
