Add a server browser
DICE, please add a server browser. I cannot find matches in my region(India). I am just stuck on the waiting for players screen and the match never starts or there are only 20-30 players in a match. ...

Without a proper server browser and persistent servers, players / clans are never going to be able to build / maintain those relationships that were the backbone of previous BF's.
As I have said before BF2042 seems soulless in comparison to previous Battlefields..
Imho DICE need to replace MM asap with a proper SB / PS for AOW so we can start to rebuild the BF Community that has been absent in BF2042.
We all want what's best for the Battlefield franchise going forward, so DICE please make it happen.

We really do and the sooner the better.

- @RayD_O1 If they do not replace MM in this game at least lets see SB/PS in the next game. Lets go back to hosting servers or at least servers that are better than 45fps and in your region, love to see an actual server in northern part of Canada not 1000's miles away.

I agree 100%, it would make such a difference to the whole gaming experience.
With probably a year and a half still to run with this game it would still be well worth bringing a SB / PS to BF2042.
DICE please make it happen.When Season 7 launches on 19th March just think how much better the whole gaming experience would be if we had a proper Server Browser and Persistent Servers.
I look forward to a time when we can get back to choosing the servers we want to play on and then staying on that server with friends / squad mates, playing through all the maps in rotation.
It would do away with all the wasted time we spend in MM lobbies getting frustrated because we get put in the same map over and over, or join matches that have only seconds left to run and get sent back to the MM lobby again.
In some cases players cannot even get into matches at all due to low player counts in there regions which imho is really unacceptable.
I really believe that a SB / PS is still the #1 missing QoL improvement that they could bring to BF2042 and I sincerely hope DICE will eventually replace MM so we can all get the very best out of this game and all future BF's going forward.

I still don't understand their logic in forcing MM. Being able to select which map we wish to play on was the standard for the Battlefield series. And persistent servers are just a duh!
We may not know but I would like some answers to this question at least.

Yeah I don't believe many players would opt for MM over a proper Server Browser / Persistent Servers set up.
Imho they should leave MM as a Quick Match option for anyone wanting to use it, but bring back the tried and tested SB / PS that we enjoyed in all previous BF's.
The BF Community has been badly hit as a result of MM replacing the SB / PS and I personally believe they need to reverse this decision if the BF franchise is to survive.
- @RayD_O1 It'll never happen because EA is addicted to lootbox/gatcha/seasonpass/skin money (so much so that they sacked people from Apex recently even though it made them $4 billion dollars), but the next battlefield should just be dedicated servers from the ground up.
Use the portal custom game setup but you plug in your portal code into the dedicated server and can run whatever setup you like. - @RayD_O1 And yet again the new season proofs the need for a server browser.
As was to be expected, a lot of players are not happy with Redacted Conquest being removed.
They have no other option to go through the roulette of MM hoping that Redacted comes up in Conquest 64 rotation, or search for a portal mode. - @RanzigeRidder2

It certainly would, MM has removed all choice and forces players to play BF2042 the way it decides.
Imho the sooner MM is replaced with a proper Server Browser and Persistent Servers the better, so all players can get the best out of BF2042 and all future BF's going forward. I'm quite confident Battlefield 7 will have a proper server browser and persistent servers.
I mean: They can't really ignore the community that hard, can they?

I sincerely hope so bud otherwise I really fear for the future of the whole BF franchise.
That is why I personally feel it is very important to reiterate how we feel on this mega thread on a regular basis and do what we can to ensure MM gets replaced asap.
We all want what's best for the BF series, we just need to convince DICE to make it happen. - @SharpGoblin If after 3748 posts on the subject in this thread alone they still choose to ignore this in an upcoming Battlefield, it proves they are truly detached from their community.
No SB/PS in next Battlefield = NO BUY for me! - @RanzigeRidder2 I think this is what the majority of the community wants and needs for the next game to happen. I would think the presales are going to be low until the beta and see what happens. If no server browser then the game will die.

MM has driven away clans / communities and the result is plain to see when you look at the current player population compared to previous BF titles.
Imho DICE need to rebuild the franchise from the ground up with a proper Server Browser / Persistent Servers as the foundation. Hmm a browser. I remember those days when you could just jump into a server without wasting time ie stuck waiting for players. Fond memories.

Fond memories indeed, currently we spend way too much time in MM lobbies waiting to play.
The lack of a proper Server Browser prevents players from choosing where they play, the lack of Persistent Servers also means we get sent back to the MM lobby after every single round.
MM adds an unnecessary layer of frustration and prevents players from playing through all the maps in rotation.
I personally long for the return of those days when we could choose a favourite server and stay on it all day long playing with friends / clan mates, the days when gaming was all about fun and less of a chore.
DICE please let us return to the glory days and help make BF great again by bringing back the Server Browser and Persistent Servers we enjoyed in previous BF's.
I agree with everything you say, MM just detracts from this title in so many ways, I even told them so in their survey.
