By now I must say, a server browser is not what we need anymore. I would have agreed with you some time ago but as of TODAY, this requirement could safely be deleted.
Why? Because a server browser ONLY makes sense if there is more than one active server that you could join at any one time. Strangely, this still is true for BF4 but for BF2042, this might not even be the case.
What is STILL required are at least is that this one last remaining server (or the 2 or 3) per region should be a persistent instances and should provide players with a proper map rotation.
That's why I fully backed your proposal and have said many times on different threads that they should implement it asap.
Then they should follow it up with the full blown Server Browser / Persistent Servers once the player base is in place to support it.
The problem is many players / clans won't come near BF2042 because it hasn't got a Server Browser.
So DICE need to attract those players back with the promise of a server browser to come further down the line, but in the meantime they should definitely go ahead and implement your proposal as it would definitely improve things : persistent instances and should provide players with a proper map
Very importantly DICE need to spell out their plans for the future of BF2042 asap, rather than maintaining total silence on this very important subject.
