I don't feel that aim assist wasn't needed for console players, but I do feel that if you're going give it to console players, you may as well give the option to use aim assist to PC players too. What difference does it matter if you're using a keyboard & mouse or not, on a PC. If a PC player doesn't like aim assist, they can disable it. At least everyone would be on the same playing field, if they choose to do so. Obviously, this would be detrimental to your skill set, but that would totally be up to the individual electing to use it or not. Maybe this would stop the bickering between Pc and console players over aim assist. Just a thought?

No
The solution is just not to do crossplay because console players are gonna whine until they are on the same level as pc player and for that to happen the aim assist needs to be too strong

If keyboard and mouse is so easy mode and so all powerful, why do half of PC players and 9/10 of console players use controller? If it's so all blasted powerful, everyone would be using it. That's why out of 64 players on a map, 55 of them will be Paik running around with a K30...easy mode.

This whole discussion clearly show how misserably Dice has failed to implement crossplay. Console players don't want to play against PC with M&K and PC players don't want to play against console players with aim-assist. Unfortunately Dice won't do anything about this.
Advice to buthurt Pc-players. Connect a controller and you will have aimbot. Simple solution.

Many of these people are actually using a M/K which is going through an emulated controller device which is programmable via software/scripts to eliminate recoil. The game sees a controller even though the player is mouse and keyboard. Anticheat doesn't detect this because it's done in the emulated controller hardware and can be programmed outside of the PC runtime (or even on another PC). I would link a video showing someone doing exactly this. But since it might be against ToS, you'll have to look for yourself. It's a hardware cheat.

A key point here is that those external devices provide a workaround to get KBM+aim assist+30% v.recoil reduction for either PC or console players.
What has long bothered me is that back in the BF4 days one of the Dev's (jjju?) came on this forum and took a pretty neutral stance on those adapters. I'm not sure how well considered jjju's response was back then or if he(DICE?) holds the same position now.
I suspect a number of these instances where PC players are getting smoked by console players is less of a problem with aim assist and more of a problem of KBM+aim assist+the v.recoil reduction intended for controllers.
