If people have to play on a console, which is a toy and they need aim-assist in order to hit targets let them. But separate everyone, consoles from PCs to keep it fair. PCs don't have aim assist and we get popped off from incredible distances while on the move all the time, probably by console players with aim assist turned on. It's no fun. So either eliminate cross-play or give PCs aim assist too. That would be sweet!

The described problem of "one frame kills"/"super bullets"/"stacked dmg" is even occuring when you are playing against bots. It´s quite common the deltatick of received dmg to be 99+. EA needs to improve the server performance and no fake fixes like back in BFV. Patch notes "improved server perfomance", because alot of player complained about the bad performance and the upshowing server performance warning symbols. Reality performance of the server are the same since their "fix" was increasing the value for the warning symbols for the server tick/performance from 14 ms to 16 ms. Well i wasnt surprised, the real fix to would have increased EA´s AWS bill.

Are you talking about bots in the portal or bots in Solo/Co-op? When I play in Solo, I get ZERO issues with quick deaths, inability to avoid damage after the first hit, etc. It's like a new game with 2042 maps and guns....
- 3 years ago@Echo6Echo Solo/Coop yup most the time its a different game, since ALAT doesnt got so huge variations. Sometimes the dmg report still shows 99+ and sometimes you still die in "one frame" and dmg monitor always got one entry with 99+ deltatick. Latency to the server 9-14ms, depending on the daytime.
- xXHappy_PuppyXx3 years agoRising Ace@DaveTheBrave_USA Yet. We keep telling you that console aim assit doesnt snap aim, doesnt sticky aim.. using "it must of been aim assit " is just an excuse.
The idea that console aim assit has soming to do with you dieing is ridiculous if want to see what real aim assit go play warzone.
The issue with bf2042 is the net code especially the crossplay code. You may think that console players instant killed you but in reality the console player from their perspective dumped most of their magazine at you. Do to bad netcode/ ticket rate all that damage register's at one time giving the illusion that the other player instant hit you with every round.
I do agree with you that PC needs to go.. but not for silly aim assit excuse but do to the fact BF net code be it the AWS servers, the frostbite engine or what ever is causing the issue is not ready for crossplay.- 3 years ago
@xXHappy_PuppyXxTotally agree that the net code via cross play is creating much of the TTK/TTD/hit reg/desync/lag compensation/etc issues with BF 2042, along with the fact there are not enough players online at one time consistently for the MM system to fill a game server with players in localized low latency zones. So add packet loss and 300ms and higher pings to the net code equation formula of online chaos.
As it stands, BF 2042 net code is like the Heisenberg uncertainty principle...sometimes it is impossible to predict outcomes so it just manufactures player reality from nothingness..😛
Honestly the PC/Console "Aim-Assist" debate is is just predictable tribal human nature, but is mostly a distraction from logical reality that BF 2042 contains a few dozen major net code issues that create a system of inconsistently fair gameplay.
And other games have similar issues. For example, I play a game that is PVE with players across the entire globe, running 200ms to 300ms pings, and it worked great until the Devs recently added "cross play". Now PC/Playstation/Xbox players can't even go one round without someone dropping, new weird lag effects are constant, basically ruined the game as the net code can't handle both the high latency and the different platforms now, and it was fine with high latency and the same platforms previously.
BF 2042 running five different platforms was a neat idea, but the idea is better than reality with 128 player modes full of high and low ping players using a MM system only really works well with tens of thousands of players, not a couple of thousand online....
Dice knows this, but the game was sold as 128 player, so no easy way to reverse it completely at this point. What is needed is 32-64 player max with latency limits and a higher tick rates, or even maybe even just total map variable refresh per tick like Apex Legends, not the zoned approach used currently with BF 2042...Even better, just dump the MM system and go back to server browsers...but at this point, I'm guessing that isn't even possible as it seems to be the number one requested feature for the last 8-9 months, yet not a single comment from either Dice or EA concerning server browsers...🤔

- Chief2GFD3 years agoSeasoned Ace@DaveTheBrave_USA But I will agree with one thing, get rid of crossplay with PC players. 90+% of my deaths were from PC players when I had crossplay on.
- Adamonic3 years agoLegend@Chief2GFD there is definitely something going on with Crossplay engagements. PC players are predominantly killed by console players and vice versa. That is too much of an anomaly to not be a thing.
