@ATFGunr Oh man, you are WAY off. Only a certain percentage of my games are online and those that do, well I put in my time. However the overwhemling majority, like 95%+, is crap like TV's and phones in the background, yelling, pets, hard breathing. Eating!
Considering a group of friends can use an external program if they must, I'm siding with the devs in that chat is less than necessary. I've left games where squeakers joined without a mute option.

@DPsx7 I could be wrong, I think the OP is talking about text chat in game, not open comms in VoIP. I do play with friends, first Ventrilo, then TeamSpeak, now Discord. I’d never turn on an open VoIP lol, I’m not crazy. I’ve heard Xbox chatter in Halo, no thanks brother. Too many kids, too many heros. But all text chat, well that’s just fun. Yes it’s heavily censored, and I’m ok with that, the stupidity level can be far too high. So to recap, all VoIP bad, all text good.

Text is quiet and can be ignored. Voice, eesh. I'll pass.Removing the all text chat channel took the "soul" out of the game. It feels too sanitized now. Part of the experience was the back and forth with enemy team. It made it feel like a real experience against real humans. Now the enemy just feels like souless automatons. People with bad behavior in chat could always be muted or all chat hidden if you wanted.
All chat texts I'm behind, not so much mic all chat "Too many mouth breathers".
