@mickey921 It seems to be an attempt to reduce the potentially toxic chat that can happen in game. I’ve played all of them since 1942, and they all had all chat abilities. Yes, sometimes you’d see chat that could be considered toxic, but there was also good stuff about a good shot, or good flying, or sharing info about an enemy hacking and their own team agrees. Basically they took it out as they didn’t think it could serve a purpose, and I think they’re wrong. Sure you’ll get the odd douchebag, but the majority of chat I saw over the last 20 years are gamers being gamers and having fun. Dice is wrong on this one, the good outweighs the bad.
