Anyone saying "All chat is a stupid request" obviously is a Genz player. All chat was essential during the Quake days in the late 90s. Esp. During clan matches. I also had friends on the opposing teams so it was always fun to taunt them. Of course people talk smack. I dont think anyone ever got injured from it. So not giving us the option is just another consequence of cancel culture and all that bs. Gamers today are so sensitive. It was always part of the game.
Give it an on/off function, problem solved.
