This has been an ongoing issue with the player population in NA servers where the game has a restriction for matchmaking. Currently players can only match into US East or West servers depending on ping. If there are more players that are either east or west region in the in-game party, then the game will match accordingly, if there are an equal amount of players then it is random what server you join.I propose that the matchmaking mix players in the NA region together to prevent population issues that happen in the early morning hours. Specifically, I have found that west servers are more affected by this region hard lock, and servers have trouble filling up even during times when there should be no issue. The server browser in previous games allowed players to freely join either region, and based on the time of day certain ones would have a larger population. As DICE has commented that is not an option currently or in the near future, this compromise would allow NA servers to combine populations for a better player experience.

I agree they need to do something to enable all players to have access to the game.

It is unacceptable that so many players are having problems in their regions due to MM limitation's.

@AngrySquid270 @Ironhead841 Pings between NA east and west players are more than acceptable between servers, something which was not an issue in previous games and still allows for when partying up in 2042. The alternative is continued population issues, specifically US West bearing the brunt of this as was observed even during launch and holiday season of the game.

I don't find 120-140 ping which is about the average of my group I play with, to be "acceptable" to play on East Coast servers (all of us are located in the PNW US.).
IF they could reduce the latency to under 60-80 then this might be feasible, I personally don't like playing anywhere where my ping is over 40.

@Ironhead841 I get 30 in east and 80 in west, people that I know in your region are getting the opposite +10 so that is definitely not normal.

I don't know what data center you go through but me on the west coast go through the LA data center, the most congested data center I know of.
