Honestly, everyone has been grinding out the T1 stuff on it so nearly everyone has most of it done... Whats the harm in it now? Apart from the previous XP farm at launch and this one, nobody can tell who earned certain badges "fairly"...
This whole progression mess is becoming a joke at this point...
I honestly didn't even know what to think when I tried that mode...
They basically killed Portal to prevent people from farming XP, and now they decide to release their own XP farm as a featured mode.
