No, classes don’t encourage teamplay. If a player doesn’t want to participate in teamplay a class will not change that. And many players played the class only for the weapon they preferred instead of the teamplay aspect.
You can still read it in the game chat when players asking, if somebody can get rid of an annoying Helicopter instead of trying it by them self. And these are not isolated cases.
To many players expecting that somebody else is doing it instead of switching their own gear. (Because then they need to get out of their comfort zone)
BF2042 and the specialist system give you the freedom of choice of your equipment and is more open for teamplay ever but to many players are here for a good K/D and not to PTFO.
I like the Specialist system and that they got rid of restriction of a classes is a good thing.
with classes you are eventually forced to seek out teamates, now ofc there is no garantee that whoever medic/support is near you will be of any use to you whatsoever... yet there was never a loadout in any BF game prior to 2042 where one class could simply do it all. now we have Angel and i garantee it will only get worse if DICE is left to do as they please

@CountSeroin general i agree with the point the players choose to play as a team not the classes, yet in 2042 you can run Falk/Angel for example and essentially ignore all 31/63 players in your team entirely since you can resupply and heal yourself at your own leisure. Angel is in essence a one man army, using the airdrop to use whatever he needs for any given situation....

His resupply is not just for him. Other battlefield you could “pick up” classes. i.e. pick up downed medic load out and revive medic or swap class on death to one more appropriate. There have always been medics that don’t revive and support that doesn’t give ammo. It is ultimately player freedom of choice and not the specialist creating the problem.
