Don't know if this is true, but BF Bulletin has a screenshot from "someone". Have no clue if this is real or not.

This is accurate. We're looking to get the Core Feedback - Maps follow-up post out to you this week.
What will the next topic be for the feedback loop? Asking for a friend.

@Straatford87Get rid of them, the end. This shouldn't require discussion unless EA is still trying to sell people on the original hero shooter attempt.

Bring back classes

Thank God. I hope the fans vote to remove the specialists completly. Battlefield was always known to be an "unknown soldier". You're one among many. To win a match you need to work as a team. Nothing better than "unknown soldiers". And not turrents spotting everybody and everyone else proned alongside it.

Are you guys ever gonna address the terrible capped XP? https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Latest-Update-about-Solo-Co-Op-and-Custom-Portal-Progression/m-p/10955718/highlight/true#M32401 You have A LOT OF REPLIES in this exact forum waiting for answers. We want to play this game and enjoy it but your terrible decisions and lack of communication has resorted to us giving up on the game we paid for. We just wanna progress like everyone else in PvE form.

You do not need yet one more thread for the subject of Specialists for the feedback loop.
You already have around 1,000 threads on this forum on the subject of "Specialists"...
So far the paying customers have delivered plentiful of well-meant feedback to EA/DICE.
Suggest EA/DICE are now true to their marketing stunt and starts to deliver from their side for the loop to be established, because so far there is no loop.
- 4 years ago@Straatford87 What has the team learned from reading the voluminous feedback over the past 5 months though?
Why does it need another thread at this point so everyone can repeat everything that's been said here, on Twitter, on Reddit, on YouTube, and elsewhere?
Why does each thread take a month to process? Why does everything with this game seemingly take forever and come a day late and a dollar short?
I don't mean to be super * since it's great seeing at least one of the CM's leave the ivory tower to interact with us plebs, but we need some meaningful communication rather than repeating the same things over and over. Engagement is a two way street, it requires giving a little and taking a little, and it feels like DICE is only doing the latter right now, not the former. - 4 years ago@Straatford87 ARE YOU GUYS REMOVING THEM?! i know you are not, but are you at least giving us the option to create our own class. feeling bound to a "specialist" it is the most limiting thing your team could have done to us.
- 4 years ago@CyberDyme There is a feedback loop, and its the paper shredder.
- 4 years ago@Straatford87 Another question: Why does everything seemingly take forever? Is this an engine limitation? Is this the pace we can expect more fixes and changes to arrive at? Is there a bottleneck?
Because the patch cadence/scope so far really sucks, and even with next month being a "big" patch - which is offset by the lack of any patches in Feb and how tiny the Jan/March patches were - it really feels like the work on this game is moving at a snails pace.
Maybe like...time for a new engine for the next game if Frostbite really is like trying to build a sandcastle in a sandbox filled with razor blades and asbestos? - 4 years ago
Specialists? Oh, you mean the derpy goofball characters jammed in this game that destroyed the entire fanbase of BF and even then don't work all that well considering they kill immersion, irritate people with their voicelines more than bugs do and everyone basically uses the same ones with the same loadouts all the time?
- ATFGunr4 years agoLegend@Adamonic Lol you just got Smithed! (Too soon?) I love his comment as it at least confirms they’re reading, thanks @Straatford87.

- 4 years ago@PBS141GHOST Specialists, apparently. Probably starting in April as these "loops" seem to be on a one-month cadence. Everything at DICE seems to move painfully slowly.

DICE: Highlights rendezook in the CGI trailer getting everyone mad-hype for the game.
BF2042 player: Perfectly executes rendezook...doesn't actually work.

Does anything in this game work as intended? It's wild how incredible EA's marketing department did of knowing how to sell a BF game to BF fans, while DICE absolutely failed to deliver on anything hyped up in the trailers.
Maybe EA's marketing team should handle development on the next game, they seem to have a better idea of what BF fans actually want.

It's hard to shake the impression that Dice somehow thought they didn't need 'legacy' fans. That 2042 was going to generate some new, large player base to replace the old fogies, with their expectations and what not. EA, in contrast, clearly understand what the market wants but seem powerless to get Dice to deliver it.
I've still to hear anything from Dice, anything at all, that addresses why they decided with 2042 that nobody should play with more than three of their friends.
I really want to know what they were thinking when they made that decision, and who they thought would buy their game.
While they were busy excising legacy features to remove the legacy players, did they really think there was this big untapped market that had been put off by people being able to change teams?

Remove them completely. No specialists in classes. No hybrid system. We have compromised far enough. No specialists/legends/heroes/mercenaries WHATSOEVER
- cso77774 years agoSeasoned Ace@edgecrusherO0 According to Tom Henderson, EA found that Hazardzone was not worth making F2P because the game mode was not good enough...
If that is correct, it just further underlines how incompetent Dice has become. - frekwalda14 years agoSeasoned Ace@Adamonic Well at least some of you are getting into the game have not been able to have a playable game since Dec 3rd and i think the Specialists should not be a topic of discussion for the next feedback loop.
I think MM should have been the discussion and bring back the server browser with a map rotation so that we can at least join a game. - 4 years ago
I think the general attitude towards specialists has already been extremely well documented. Nobody asked for them. Nobody likes them. They need to be deleted. - 4 years ago
Please remove specialists
