For better or for worse, the AT mines work like movement sensors instead of mechanically accurate representations of how AT mines are triggered IRL.
Btw, the AT mines in real life would also be buried.
I think that if you do not move at all, the AT mines will not blow up though.
Use that to your advantage and kill the owner of the mines before he decides to blow them up with a gun or grenades.
In any case, you should also consider that if someone has gotten close enough to deliver 3 "extra spicy family sized pizzas" to your tank, you have overextended or been careless.

The thing is, it's not really possible not to move especially when you are in the middle of charging the enemy lines, I've seen quite often that people use smoke or drop by parachute and then drop the mine on top of me and that insta-kills me without giving me any chance not to move at all, lol.
I just wish they work as intended and not as is currently.
