It just gives you the base 2042 maps to choose from.

but sometimes it gives you all maps and sizes to choose from 

something is screwed

Correction,

it seems to give 6 random maps to choose from??

but the other day, it gave all maps and all sizes to choose from?!

i have a lots of maps selected that my sever still remembers.

but if I go to map selection screen, it now only shows 6 to choose from? 

what the hell!?
