And apparently you missed the part about also carrying 2 AA mines. Do you even know what those are and how they work?
Yep. I know how they work, i have specifically hunted vehicles since battlefield 2. i guess i missed the patch that added them to 2042.
You can argue that YOU want to control how people play through classes and thar YOU would prefer it, but you can't argue that it would improve the game or bring players back because you cant prove that. but it doesnt matter. What you posted is merely a wish list and i dont think the people who have a control fetish in regards to locking down loadouts will get what they want. Specialists arent going away, they are there for micro transactions
@PsubondBro stop making this about me. How silly. I’m echoing the sentiment of the hundreds of thousands of Battlefield fans world wide. Don’t slay the messenger.
And again, it’s not my list. There are dozens of similar lists out there from various gaming publications, game reviewers, streamers and players from around the world all covering the same missing features.

“..considering the negative reaction to 2042, it must have been tempting to draw a line under the game and simply move on. But ****** insists that was never an option.”
“As I said, we owe it to our players."
"We are only focusing on Battlefield 2042. There is no time for anything else and this is what we want to do.”
“We’re completely focused on Battlefield 2042. The majority of the team here, plus our colleagues over at Ripple Effect, are focused on Battlefield 2042. We owe that to our community, to our players, “
WHERE IS THE CONTENT? WHERE IS THE COMMUNICATION?
- 3 years ago@Zhukov211 It becomes yours when you argue in favor of it. The "hundreds of thousands" is made up because you have no hard numbers to back that up. If you do i would live to see your numbers and sources (hard numbers, not made up numbers or estimations). Like i said, it doesnt matter, specialists arent going anywhere

Honestly, the number of players GONE AWAY from this game makes more noise than the few that are left (just look at the Steam chart from the game's launch to today).
But I agree that (unfortunately for us veterans) the specialists will remain until the end of the life cycle of this game (which I strongly believe will happen by the end of the year if I'm to be frank).
I hope (but I am under no illusions) that Dice / EA will do a full 180 ° and return to creating (and considering) the next game as they have done in the past. - 3 years ago
A class is essentially just limiting certain primary guns to certain gadgets or certain gadget/ability combos.
For primary/gadget pairings I do not see what problem needs to be solved. For this classes are a solution to a problem that does not exist.
With primaries/gadgets I'm not seeing any sort of OP synergy that needs to be avoided. I'm sure we've seen nearly every combo possible in BF over the years - even the extreme case of no primary and gadget only for the BF1942 Anti-armor class.
BFV Semi-auto rifle = Anti-armor class
BF1 Semi-auto rifle = Medic class
BF4 Semi-auto rifle = All classes
BF3 Semi-auto rifle = Recon
For gadget/gadget or gadget/ability combos I agree there are problematic pairings, but do not see classes as the solution. I'd rather those pairing be dealt with case by case, such as Lis with the M5.
Other than C5+wing suit what other problematic pairings are in BF2042? Wouldn't it just be easier to limit Sundance to (2 ) C5 to solve that problem than bring back classes?
What problem does my LMG+Rao+Spawn Beacon create?

There's truly no reason for "classes". Specialists does work fine, and while people make plenty of noise over the matter, they are absolutely misguided as to what mechanics have hindered BF2042.
If you were to remove specialists entirely and implement ANY form of class system similar to prior titles, the game would fail just as miserably, and even more so.
The issues are the lack of performance, lack of polish, abundance of bugs, and most importantly, HORRIBLE MAPS WITH HUGE OPEN SPACES.
Classes do not fix any of that, not in the slightest.
Instead, as stated above, they limit our playstyle. I assure you we'll get bored of playing assault with SMGs-only on huge open maps for the sake of anti-vehicle explosives. Or would you call that class "Engineer"? Changing the name doesn't fix the issue.
Breakthrough exposure, and you want to lock specialists to a class format? Irish, Falk, Dozer, Rao Mackay, and Liz are all absolute essentials in that map & mode. Sundance is also a high recommendation. Teams lacking these specialists suffer SEVERELY. For lack of Irish, I've seen entire teams wiped in under 2 minutes entirely by grenades alone. Don't go locking players out of essential classes just because the weaponry / gadgets are useless in their circumstance.
There's no justification for class limitations. Specialists already have specific roles creating heavier teamplay than classes ever did - something gadget-freedom also contributes towards. If you want to lock things down for yourself, you've already always been able to with the customizable loadout options. In what world must one live in, to think less freedom is better, or that less options makes for better play? Try removing your ASD keys, and only use W henceforth; you'll quickly appreciate alternative options.

@0_Katsui. There are 100+ other missing features associated with the list.
You and some others posting here are 100% missing the point of the post. If you and Psu want to debate the legendary, iconic Classes vs the game design failures of 2042 feel free to start you own post.In the mean time can we please stay on topic. Feel free to add any missing QOL features or missing popular game mechanics from previous BF titles that you’d like to see in 2042.
Thanks.

True enough, and BF2042 really does lack in these categories. I was looking for a comparison video between BF2042 and BF1 which really highlighted the animation quality and attention to detail differences (there are now tons of these vids, and none showing what I was after; can't find the one in mind).
I found this though, which seems worth looking at key times of. I've given a particular start time:
(skip to timestamps listed below to see specific scenes)Observe the atmosphere of BF1. By quality it really is the "Next BF" - or perhaps the "Last BF". The BF1 atmosphere always feels like a gritty war.
Some other scenes showing so in that vid are at:
2:48, 3:59, 4:41,
5:32 (love this one, makes me think of a squad like in saving private ryan, who just encountered an unexpected defense and panic to retreat),
6:11, 6:56 (amazingly detailed & funny) and a few following scenes, and the beautiful destruction of a ship at 9:06.(pay attention to the background events while he goes through his animations).
In all timestamps you see background players reacting as you'd expect soldiers to, with animations playing the part.
Compare that to this game.. and we're not even playing battlefield any more.

@0_KatsuiBF1 is certainly a cinematic masterpiece. It has that “soldiers fighting soldiers in a war” vibe.
I think the most telling signs for me of how empty and fake the 2042 game world is are the low res cut scenes pre match. Sterile, empty, and so cheap looking. Looks straight out of a video game from the mid 1990’s.
- ATFGunr3 years agoLegend@Zhukov211 2042 = Uniform green grass, uniform desert sand, uniform bushes, uniform concrete. The wall alone in Renewal exemplifies the boring nature of the maps. It could hav e been graffitied as it would have been in the real world. Nobody could pass up a canvas like that! It’s like only single textures were used and mapped, so the grass all looks exactly the same, etc. BF1 was a beautifully rendered game, the most artistic of any of the series to date. Exposure is a better effort for this, it’s at least moderately interesting. This is a world in turmoil, entire governments have fallen and the only garbage around is the single use plastic bags?

Especially maps like Kaleidoscope / Hourglass / Renewal, none of those remotely look or feel like a warzone to me which kills that feeling of being there.
As you say BF1 was a masterpiece that captured the era / atmosphere perfectly.
I also agree that the Exposure map is definitely a move in the right direction which is why I played it exclusively until the 247 game mode was removed.

removing freedom of loadouts isn't a quality of life thing. it is a control fetish thing and it won't fix anything in this game. YOU play how YOU want and I'LL play how I want.
i'm on topic talking about classes because you listed it in your OP

@PsubondGreat. Start your own post and debate away about the classes. Again, it’s not my list. One of the all time most upvoted posts on Reddit. I just added a few things.
You’ve heard the saying “you can’t see the forest because of the trees”?Weve heard a lot from DICe about aesthetics and map design yet we never hear anything about missing in game features or quality of life improvements.

it is in the OP. if one disagrees with the list in the OP this is the appropriate place to push back on it
