After watching that, this will definitely be my last BF game that I play and most definitely be the last EA game I buy. Going down the route of hero shooters is not the way to go. Games should stand out and bring something unique to the table, not emulate other hero shooters. There's too many out there already. Hazard Zone is pretty boring, specialists are not very good. BF fans out there don't want hero shooters and BR type of games. I implore everyone to watch the video. It will open your eyes.

I’m having fun playing BF2042.Before release I was very much against the Specialist idea, but I gotta say it’s a non-issue for me now.I’m much more interested in having various issues fixed (crashing, lag) as well as the obligatory balancing (vehicles too strong / maps way too open and without cover)

What I find with regards to squads; there is hardly any good squad play. In BF4, I would often play an engineer. But if the whole squad of randoms that I would squad up with play as an engineer, I would play as a support or assault/medic. Also, you could easily see who is playing as what because there was an icon next to player names in the hud.In BF2042, I can't tell who's playing what because everyone has access to all gadgets. Makes the whole the game a free for all. Literally, every squad I've played with does whatever they want and runs in all directions. No squad play at all. And if by some miracle I do end up in a good squad, I'll never see them again in the next round because of this stupid matchmaking!

The specialists are way better now.The regular old barebones classes would be boring.There was no teamwork before, and I have to honestly ask if YOU have played BF before when you say there was teamwork.I've been playing since 1942, and time after time you watch people avoid reviving, not giving ammo, not giving medpacks.Gamers are selfish and they always have been. Unless you're playing with friends or randomly get great squadmates, you're on your own.People who can't drive vehicles, people who can't get kills, people who don't cap or defend flags. These are the majority and always have been.BF4 was plaugued with rooftop snipers and people want to go on and on about how much teamwork that game had. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?BF2042 has more teamwork than BF4 did. I get revived all the time in 2042. There's health and ammo everywhere, and Angel throwing down his box to switch classes/get ammo is all over the damn place.The specialists are an awesome and fun layer on top of the classes we had. It's the same thing only they have an extra gadget and can use all weapons.It's more options, more playstyles, way more fun, and it's just a much better game overall because of them. The old classes are dead and for good reason. They are stale.You are forced to use LMG's if you want to throw ammo? Give me a break. Now I rock Boris with the ammo crate and I can use whatever weapon suits me and my sentry turret spots enemies. I am a great support class. Spotting and ammo. That is way better than the barebones LMG/Ammo crate loser from the old games. I don't feel like a neutered soldier who doesn't know how to operate more than 1 gun type.Get rid of your biased opinions you guys have tunnel vision. "SPECIALISTS RUIN THE GAME". You're the people who say X actor ruins X movie because you don't have the ability to ignore their past films. You can't accept them in a new role just like you can't accept specialists because X game has hero's and you hate X game so now BF has heros that means you have to hate BF.It's a load of poop. This game is incredibly fun and I feel bad for people who aren't allowing themselves to play and enjoy it for such petty, minor reasons.

It's sad to see that we could have got a very good dark, gritty Battlefield but instead they opted for a weird hero-shooter. The game is not bad, i play it and enjoy it, but so many things need fixing my head hurts when i think about it.-128 player conquest sucks, i want 64p CQL and i will be happy-performance on PC is bad, needs workI don't want to be mean to DICE or anyone because i know they actually read these threads but guys come on get a grip. Listen to people who make valid criticism, try to make 2042 a better game. You succeeded with BF4, you can do it again.

Everything seems to work for Hazard Zone.
It isn't enough for a Battlefield - yet.

Actually just watched it. Pretty insightful, especially those glass door reviews - oofff!
The working from home section also makes you realise what the Devs had to work with.
Lastly, orders from the ivory tower were being sent down to a group of devs that no longer resembles the BF3/4/1 team.
An interesting watch.

The track record of his accuracy, seems to imply that he does indeed have insider contacts at DICE.

He "is a proven and reliable source for inside works at DICE and a few other studios, he’s been almost correct with everything he’s leaked since before the beta"
Also I think, that a lot of devs and former devs contacted with him in recent time just to show him of mess which they had to face and vent off their frustration.
