Anyone use Hex or Aim controllers?

Hello, I'm playing on the PS5 and am looking at getting a Hex or Aim controller (mostly for the back buttons), and am curious how much of an advantage the quick triggers provide? Is it noticeable?

  • Hey @Astroboy314 I haven't used either, or even have a PS5, but I use an Elite II on my Xbox and those back buttons are really handy. It sounds silly but not having to take a thumb off the sticks has helped me quite a lot. I wouldn't call it an advantage really, at least not a big one, it's more just good to have.

I know it's not what you asked but hopefully my ramblings will be helpful still.
  • @Astroboy314I havent tried it on BF5 but it basically just feels like using L1 and R1 for ADS/fire instead of L2 and R2. (I am assuming quick triggers are the same as trigger stops)

Backbutton are more useful in games like COD or halo where jumping while aiming/shooting can be a big advantage.

Yah I had a stock back button on my PS4 controller and loved it. I agree, it makes a huge difference and is the main reason I want a Hex or Aim controller (I think PlayStation said they'd release a back button attachment for the PS5 controller as well, but who knows how long that will take). Just hoping a quick trigger will help make the $250 price tag of a Hex controller easier to swallow.

@Astroboy314 I actually missed that bit and just focused on the back buttons. Mine has trigger locks as well and they're very, very useful. I've also set my L2/R2 sensitivity really high, so with that and the locks I basically tap the trigger to fire.
