True ace pilots will always be a force to be reckoned with but a coordinated team *should* still be able to prevail. I'm on the fence whether or not tanks should receive a buff (not sure if it's a balance thing or I just want to be OP), but changing class designations needed to happen for the Bolte and choppers.
Rao, visually, was a strange character to get behind so here's hoping the changes benefit the role.

I do feel kind of sorry for tanks when I attack them with a jet. Two passes and they're pretty much a goner (unless they can get some overhead cover, like the overpass on Hourglass).

So now we are complaining about patches that haven’t even been released yet?

Coming from basically any other game there is an easy chance to miss your shot when engaging a tank.
in 4 you could miss your 30 mm shots or the jdam entirely. So only pilots with decent aim could kill them in one burst. In bf1 the bombs had trajectories and you could easily miss if you didn’t learn them. There was a risk when engaging ground targets because you had to fly directly over them, and needed to maintain decent aim.
now that we have lock on agms, literally anyone with a brain can lock on to tanks and land a shot just by clicking a button, there is no skill. Now that everyone is landing their agm shots it feels much more like tanks stand no chance, if they replaced the agms with a form of jdam or heck even a missile you need to aim, I guarantee things will play differently

@TTZ_DipsyIndeed, but now there will not be a matter of ace pilots anymore, but anyone with a basic notion can do a lot of damage with ATG misses. There is a two minute respawn, and tanks now they have more hazards to deal with, including on-foot soldiers like Rao and Sundance, who cannot do much against jets, btw (which generates some bias against tanks).
After the point when a wildcat is destroyed, or a tank (which by the way does do anything against jets) is gone, the jet will focus it efforts somewhere else and wipe out the helicopters, who also have more hazards to deal with than the jets.In summary, in terms of Hazards faced: Tanks > fast land vehicles > helicopters > jets.
And now Rao and Sundance are two "new" threats. Nothing was done to compensate. And I do think that tanks in BF2042 are weaker than historically.I am just asking for data analysis. I may be wrong. But it is worth keeping track of the outcome from now until the next update.
