@CantGetRight My thoughts exactly, all his "integrity" went out the window a LONG time ago.*EDIT* and for whatever it's worth citing any of the so-called top streamers/YouTubers is a losing argument anyway, they get paid for "clicks" and create content accordingly.If JackFrags strung a bunch of clips together of him killing people in a Tuk-tuk and proclaimed "Tuk-tuks are OP!" sure as hell somebody would be parroting that BS too.

It's fine. You don't "laser" people from 100m. It has a decent amount of recoil and is finally one of the more decently balanced weapons IF you know how to control the recoil. It has decent dmg fall off to the point that it takes 8-10 hits to the upper torso at around 100m. I wish everyone would stop running in here yelling "NERF" because they got killed 10 times by the same weapon in a match.

Ok so I went and watched the video. Most of his kills are less than 50m and the bigger majority are 30m or less. There were two around the 6 minute mark where he shot one guy that was around 70m away and it took 42 rounds. The next guy he shot the rest of his box of ammo (48 rounds) and didn't get the kill, so he's not "lasering" anyone and I didn't see a single kill that looked like it was 100m. If you notice all of the kills he shows are upper chest/headshots. He's good at shooting high on the player, so that helps. What also helps is that the enemy didn't seem to be dodging around very much. I kept expecting them to say AI after their name. Not putting him down, it's a good vid, but he named it that way and played it that way to get VIEWS. If he had named it "I played the Avancys today and it was run of the mill balanced" he wouldn't have gotten nearly as many views as "This thing is breaking the game"...Again, go use the thing and then tell us how OP it is....

@DaRougaroux Here's an idea for you. Instead of looking at what a streamer has for "content" (fyi...they get paid for clicks...hint, hint) go use the gun for a while on a 128 player CQ map where you regularly shoot 100m or better. After 3 -4 rounds, come back and tell us how broken it is. Unless I'm just insanely bad, it's not all that powerful. Is it better then say the LCMG, I don't think so, but it's heaps better than the BKP...

I watched the video. The “broken” gun he’s talking about is the M16. 1:50 mark. It’s clickbait.

I personally would like to see video of it "laser beaming" anything. It's very good at close range, but gets out TTK'd by the SMGs, it's good at medium where it should be, but still gets out gunned by the good ARs. It can kill at longer ranges, (I'm talking 75 to 130m) but it certainly isn't beaming anything. You aren't spraying and praying at that range without "HELP"....you can kill out to long ranges in single fire mode, but you aren't doing it easily and certainly not if the enemy is moving a lot. Yeah, if they are standing around you can do it easily.
If you think it's all that and a bag of chips, and OP "lasering" out to 100m, let's see some video.

Only just unlocked it yesterday, so I don't really have an opinion on if it's OP yet, but it seemed pretty decent from the time I've spent with it.

So far my impressions is that it is really good at killing bots in solo faster than other guns.
I am not sure how that will translate vs human players.
It is clear that it is at the very least a good gun but due to its LMG sprint delays it is not exactly an absolute MGL weapon like the original BSV-M was.
Before that I had began to see the LMG category as worthless thanks to all the sledgehammer nerfs on the LCMG and especially the PKP

Yes finally a gun that's at least somewhat fun to use.
The problem isn't that Avancys is too good, the problem is that most other BF2042 guns are complete crap.

After more extensive use of the gun vs players, I find the gun fine.
It has super slow ADS strafe speed (unless you are Mackay) and the delay after sprint gives it a fair handicap at short range.
It is just an LMG that is not bad.
If one wants to go METAOMGBBQMLG the humble M5A3 is the go to gun, but somehow nobody talks about it.

Sums it up nicely, it also has a very slow reload time.
I find myself reloading unnecessarily as I have been so used to the AC-42.
Overall I think I still prefer to use the AC-42 but I know it's not comparing like with like.
