Balance the bolte again
As the light vehicle class, the bolte has incredible strong armors comparing to hovercraft and recon vehicle, almost as good as a tank. Currently it's destroying the gameplay with its armor and speed...

Good balance isn't about nerfing stuff until everything is equally unfun to use. Nerfing the Bolte will still leave the problem of a non-transport vehicle sitting in the transport vehicle category. The category already has the LATV and the LCAA. The latter of which already offering comparable weapons to the Bolte and providing the passenger capacity to be considerd an actual transport vehicle.
The game has a greater problem with vehicle categories that extend beyond just the Bolte. Properly categorising the Bolte and the rest of the vehicles will bring better balance without the need to suck the fun out of anything by nerfing it into oblivion.
The simple solution to Boltes are mines. Sprinkle a few in obvious paths and enjoy the visual of a player thinking they’re going to roadkill a bunch blow themselves up at 50kph. It’s a spectacle! Vehicles can be addressed via tactics, which take some teamwork, which is harder to do with the odd chat system (was J or K for years, now it’s hit return first for some added steps) and no VOIP. There’s much they need to do before worrying about the Bolte.
- @ATFGunr It helps, but with the open space in the current map design, you'd have to have lots of players carrying mines to make it effective, which isn't happening.
As in my post, I prefer to be able to kill Bolte with 2 recoilless and be able to damage the driver and gunner with recoilless. It's just absurt than a rifle can do things that rocket can't.Making the mines behave like BF5 (6 deployed and persistent after death) would go a long way toward slowing down the Boltes
- @DCAT627 As I mentioned in the previous post, I don't think it'd mattered much. Mine isn't the answer.
