"Balanced" Hind/Condor Miniguns. The Condor has anti-gravity engines.

You can not watch this video and form a good argument in support of why the Miniguns on the Hind/Condor are so powerful vs Jets.

I understand the fact that the Hind/Condor needs 3 people to actually do this but having 3 people should not then make other vehicles a non threat.

This clip is also after multiple strafing runs, the damage done is always negligible because of the heal rate and heal potential that the Hind/Condor has. But that heal rate is not a problem, what is a problem is the firepower that it has.

If I did this, with the Jet I was flying in the video above, it would crash into the ground within seconds, but alas, gravity affects the Condor differently. See for yourself in the video.

@Echo6EchoDoesn't help when they ascend faster than any other air vehicle in the game. The Condor can actually rise above the sky ceiling for a brief moment.

Furthermore, both the Hind and the Condor can remain in an almost vertical position with the guns having complete angles of attack horizontally with little consequence if they're high enough.

the thrust to weigh  ratio on these vehicles is comical

@S3SSioN_SoL As a terrible jet pilot, I don't have a good solution. I imagine that there needs to be something to make a jet worth picking. There's only a handful of jet pilots that I've ever played against/with that actually didn't waste the attack slot, especially now that it is limited to a single slot.

As a gunner of attacks/transports I can agree that whenever I see a jet I'm excited for what is most-likely a free kill... unless the jet decides to just ram our vehicle, managing to live through that, but our vehicle dies.

i am happy when i see an enemy jet flying around.  they aren't much threat to infantry and i can change to a ground vehicle killing loadout

@Psubond Basically almost null tbh as there's no point in going for infantry kills as they don't count towards masteries. I also get happy when I see a Jet because I know, it means our team already won air superiority in the Battle.
  • Honestly...if I ever see a jet flying around taking up the attack aircraft slot on the enemy team I'm pretty freaking stoked. Because I've found jets to easily be the least threatening/dangerous aircraft as infantry, and when I'm gunning in a "transport helicopter" I love when they try to attack because it's hilariously broken like this. Unless they're managing to somehow stay out of firing range because our pilot is trash or avoid us like the plague, it's just free kills.

Real though, condor's mobility is absolutely bonkers for still heavily armed transport vessel (even after the nerf to the heavier weapons). It's a freakin gunship that also happens to be a "transport" aircraft, lol.

  • The transport miniguns definitely need to be toned down, but in a specific way: They need to have they damage drop off start and end sooner.  That was the miniguns still punish infantry and jets at short/close ranges but they don't turn into flying fortresses. Transports should be used for getting people from Point A to point B, not air superiority. Especially in the case of the Condor since with its high speed it can actually hunt jets.

The other component to this is that vehicle fired AA missiles do poor damage against transports . The IR missiles do 15 dmg a pop while the radar missiles do 8.5. I would bump these to 20 and 13 respectively. That may not seem like much but we have to keep in mind that they have big hit boxes so they'll likely be getting tapped by other enemies as well.

@rainkloud  Totally agreed, this is in fact what I recommended should happen to the Miniguns on it, to maintain its ability to transport infantry safely from sector to sector against other infantry. I agree that the AA missiles do negligible damage to the transport helis and needs to be looked at.
