Ballistic shield stops .50 cal
Not just a few times…I unloaded on this dude from an AA and it took someone running up behind him to kill him. That ridiculous.

The shield can even tank a direct hit of the 120mm shells of a tank. You have to shoot beside him, so the splash damage gets the player.
- BF 2042 has several teams working on it... maybe DICE should now also get the people from Apex, they at least know how to bring reasonable shields into a game.
Absolutely agree, The .50 cal. can go through Tank armor but not the hand held shield. pretty stupid idea I say.
- @CLFIRE451 The shield isn't the only thing that stopping power is ridiculous. Tank rounds can penetrate tank armor, but not container walls or Boltes, unless you hit an opening or a windshield?
God, I hate shields in FPS games. It’s just a cheap gimmick like armor that lets you completely negate your opponent’s skill and just sit there with no risk of dying. Dozer’s shield feels like the MW2019 Riot Shield all over again.
- @XD-DAWG11 Man, it's been a while but like...have dev teams not learned how garbage shields are outside of super tactical shooters since the days of CS:Source?
@Terminator000001 Not just the shells, but the tank itself. I went for what I thought was an easy roadkill, just to have the tank stop dead as it hit the shield.
