I did do a logout-login maneuver right before so that might be worth a try.- @TrasteTh the first time it happened i restarted the computer and tried again. it keeps saying the same thing
- @LedTrgrFingr I didnt have that issue for some reason. It downloaded quick for me. About 12 min but im on Fiber. Still, I expected slower since PC users were going to be hammering the servers.
@LedTrgrFingrthe files appears to be downloading from Akamai CDS so it may be issues with "your" local Akamai server.
So I uninstalled my pre-load and preloaded it again and the files are downloading from
a104-121-236-158.deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com
but I think that, before the download starts, it contacts a bootstrap server that gives the client a list of possible download servers such as the one above.
Unable to preload battlefield 2042 gold edition
No issues here either. The download took about 7 and a half minutes.
This is what i'm getting. If you notice the bottom right corner, I have internet access.
