@LedTrgrFingrTry to
1. ping api1.origin.com and see if you get a response.
2. ping origin-a.akamaihd.netAlso, can you tell me at what point the download fails?
Is it immediately after you click the download button, or after you have selected install directory etc.?
- @TrasteTh 1 - ping replied quickly
2 - ping replied 2ms slower that 1 I also have the same problem of downloading
- TrasteTh4 years agoSeasoned Ace@LedTrgrFingr if you download and install Telerik Fiddler Web Debugger, you can use it to capture exactly what is going on, and it will show where it fails. It might not be a simple solution as such, but the tool is great for troubleshooting HTTP/HTTPS problems and can be used for loads of stuff.

@LedTrgrFingr@T4kumi10 BTW. don't forget to report the error so EA get a chance to work on it if you cant solve it yourself.

So uninstalled my pre-load and started it yet again and below is the initial communication between Origin Client and the servers:
in the Host column, you can see the server names - but please note that for a CDN like Akamai the hostnames will resolve to different server depending on your geographic location (thus Content Delivery Network - CDN), after row 37, it is just downloading data and it flows like that for 47GB

If you get those error its not related to download servers issues its connected with the account and you need to reach out to EA Support.
so, i'm not really sure what's going on.
