It is now 18:19 EST and I have been in the holding pattern for the past 19 minutes. Why in the blazes is it taking so long to drop into a game? Just to get in to the 128 person Conquest multiplayer. ...

Yeah a scoreboard doesn't cut it for me either I'm afraid they have had enough time to come up with a lot more than that.
If it turns out that the rest really are small fixes then it will be obvious that there is only a skeleton staff left, which is pretty apt really as the game will be dead before season one. !

@RayD_O1 What do they do in that case? This is playing out to be the worst AAA title ever. It's quite shocking to be honest.
Bf2042 was 2nd in sales in November, 5th in December, and 10th in January and yet all those players (millions) are gone?

It would take a mammoth amount of changes / fixes / new content to even start to get those millions of players to even think about coming back after the launch it has had.
It is very hard to stay positive in this climate and we spend our days here on the forums scratching around for crumbs of information, something to give us hope, but unfortunately we have found little comfort to date.
Time is running out for BF2042 and as the saying goes "time waits for no man". !!

I think the problem is that this, in its currently form, just ISN'T a real BF title. At least not what almost everyone expected, given the trailer and promo interviews before. If it were, this problem would not exist and we would be shooting each other instead of chatting in the forums.
Even though I like the interaction here, I would much rather not be here but play the game.
