Battlefield 2042 closed/open Beta access

    As i see it, yes.

    It's just a single "Open Beta" application, and those who pre-ordered the game or got a early access code somehow will just be able to download or access the application few days earlier.

    But pretty sure there won't be two different types of applications running just cause different access times. It'll run for all as an Open Beta thing.

@Its_Travis_199 It's pretty much that apart from the fact it's not actually a beta - it's a release candidate if anything 🙂

Ok so there's no real advantage to preordering this time other than the fact that you can download the game earlier but can't even play it until the open beta kicks in?

If this is the case I guess I can cancel my preorder now.

    @BtheReaper49 Wrong.

    The beta is the same the whole time but with the preorder you get EARLY ACCESS which means you get to start playing it a few days earlier than those who didn't.

    I don't see what part of that is hard to understand.

      @Jesse165It's not hard to understand. I thought when they announced the beta date the other day that it was only going to be an open beta and not having early access. If the preorders still get early access then good.

      From what the other poster said here it doesn't sound like early access though.  The preorder people only get to download or access the application a few days earlier (?) which isn't the same as playing it earlier.

        Saw something just recently that said Sept 22nd early access for preorders and September 24 for all others

    You're going to purchase the game regardless.....so canceling a preorder just because you might not be 'the first in the door', then turning around and buying the game, wat, at release ? ....is pretty comical 😎 

    That'll show em lol...

      @SOCOMDEATHDEALR I might end up buying it if some friends buy it and like it. I didn't get squat with the BF5 preorder and was totally duped. And those same friends picked it up a couple of weeks after release at 1/2 price....greaaaat. I'm giving this one some time and not picking it up first day. I'm not overly impressed with the gameplay they showed anyway so I'll wait and see (again, especially after the BF5 debacle).

        @BtheReaper49 Dice has learned their lesson regarding BFV... They´ll never do that again...

        Instead they are currrently compiling a hotpot-hybrid of BF3/BF4, Apex Legends & Star Wars Battlefront 2, which is going to be awesome... The best FPS the world has ever seen!
