- ghinavirus4 years agoNot applicable@TankerFlanker that COD money. They all chase that COD money. Look at the many fools who buy these cosmetics. Of course influencers well influence it.
And thats another thing. Nobody has seen any details or UI within the game about the battlepass. We all are sitting in a room shrugging our shoulders at one another. - Orus_Eye4 years agoNot applicable
It's frustrating, I know, but we got this far, let's wait a little more. This pandemic has slowed us down in many ways, let's try to be patient.

I just wish they would at least give us a little taste even just one map and game mode and just keep the earlier beta open until then. I can deal with bugs and crashes I mean I did buy cyberpunk and thought most bugs and glitches were funny as hell lol.
Either way I'm so glad to have a modern BF game back! I've been out since BF4, though I've played bf1 and bf5 it just didn't do it for me.
I'm so stoked!!

No one wants another Cyberpunk, believe me. Let's give them time.
- ArchAngeL-PCX4 years agoNot applicable@ghinavirus I don't understand the whole 2 years thing unless it's something outside the box like a Bad Company 3. If Live Service actually works, theoretically they could just keep adding on to it indefinitely. Not to throw salt in the Battlefront 2 wound, but if that game launches well, we might still be getting content off Mandalorian, Bad Batch, and Book of Boba Fett.
- Fringerunner4 years agoSeasoned Ace@ArchAngeL-PCX It'll probably be more like Destiny (at least i damn well hope so, can do without the fortnite model) with "seasons" that are themed, but not in the fortnite sense.
If it's like destiny it'll be new story snippets along with new guns and maybe a map or game mode for each content dump.
I just really hope they don't use the same grind until you unlock model from destiny/BF5, I'm fine with it in some games, BF just happens not to be one of them.
(to be clear here, i'm fine with grinding to unlock things, i just don't want it on an arbitrary XP wheel with no say in what i can focus on)
Seeing as it's been stated there's going to be a narrative arc but we have no singleplayer, that would make the most sense, but speculation on my part.
I don't see how they can keep a narrative going without making it part of the seasonal update model though. - GrizzGolf4 years agoSeasoned Ace
Well all we can do is hope next week they drop info on the beta to keep us busy.
I have been having fun with Vanguard other than the TTK is insane. Also AOE4 stress test drops today

I really wonder when corpopropaganda came up with game as service, because there are layers of logical problems/contradictions. I guess they want to be unable to be held accountable for how miserable their behavior is toward the wallet, subpar product. It seems to me that is projects hostility toward their customer, as an idea of you buying and owning something. It means that they are forced to provide what you bought. Isnt service supposed to justify any bad behavior as nothing since you 'owned nothing' from the start anyway ?
If so, then such a behavior smells of great fear, which breeds hostility. In the end, Im not really bothered with what they do, because it only affects those who abide by their 'rules'/terms, usually after the even pay. It is funny also how they changed the wording on origin, where they say 'get the game' instead of buy. It means you should never pay if you dont buy anything. I would never have expected EA to turn into a non-profit though. I wasnt so optimistic of EA previously. I wonder when they will start to give out the money to the poor 🙂 EA former CEOs working the field with hand instruments. Such an inspiration 🙂
