Battlefield 2042 early access

I’m a little confused around the full game early access thing on PS5 is it only available on the gold edition? And is that just for 10 hours game play? Think i would burn through that in the first day.

You get Early Access to BF2042 if you buy Gold or Ultimate Edition. 🙂
Gold / Ultimate Edition release: October 15
Standart Edition release: October 22
You will get access to the game way earlier with Gold or Ultimate Edition than Standard Edition. Also with Gold or Ultimate Edition, you will get some more items.

@abradley181184 As of now, i think the open beta is starting on september 22, and afaik there's no time limit of 10 hours, but i play on PC so i'm not going give a 100% on that, cursory check didn't bring up any 10 hour gating.

That being said, you get beta access for the regular edition on pre-order from looking a the PS store, but if you want "early access", that is you get to start playing the final launch version a bit earlier than everyone else, you have to order gold or above.

Pre-ordering the regular version "just" gets you access to the beta for it's duration, and you do not get the 7-day early access on launch.

@abradley181184 Not sure how you can be confused. Gold and ultimate get 7 days early access to the game not just 10 hours.

Thank you both, I think I must be getting EA Play mixed up with it at they they must be just offering 10 hours of early access if you order through them.

@abradley181184 I think it's based on straight pre-order (ie; just buying/pre-ordering the game) vs getting the game through the subscription-part, but i might be wrong, but no worries either way.

I did subscribe a short while to test the service (granted, a while ago now) and because of that i have 2 different BF4 entries, one of which has been greyed out/locked for years now waiting for me to re-sub.

@abradley181184To be clear, the 10 hour trial is only available through having an active subscription with EA Play and it will likely only be available after the game releases.

Early Access (15 October) to the full game is different, as others have said. For that, you will need to order the Gold or Ultimate Editions of the game.
Lastly, having an EA Play Pro subscription will grant you access to the Ultimate Edition of the game and all it’s associated perks and bonuses, to include Early Access.

The game is * in cross play they have no standards but will take your money and give you a halfassed game
