It should be noted that you didn't buy the game, you bought a license to use their software and that can be revoked.- sightseeer4 years agoRising Rookie
Maybe they are leagally binding in your coutry. But here in Germany, you paid for the product which was the state of the game. If they license is revoked and in consequence you "can't" play the game, then the state of worsened and then you shall get compensation for the "missing" part, which might be the full "playable state of the game" which can mean to get 100% of the money back. These are the laws. You still have to go through the legal hassle in front of courts etc. which not many people are willing to do for a <100€ product.

@RipGroove99it's only a refund if EA approves your request!
If they deny it'll no longer be a refund by EA. By having your bank refund you, it'll be their job to get the money back from EA, and that may very well cause EA to close your account as you got the service you paid for and you exeeded the allowed trial/refund time. The product is used!
They are very likely within their rights to close your account.
You could sue them for not delivering what they promised, but have they really failed on their promises or did we just expect too much of the game?
Just because you believed the game to be different doesn't give you the right to ask for a refund at any time you'd like.
Dont buy it and play it unless you're willing to pay for it. - 4 years ago
@RipGroove99It is along the lines of, you don't own what you pay for, and EA can take it away anytime they see fit.

It sure golly does. It specifically states your account will be locked until you contact EA to investigate further.
Read the terms before agreeing to them. Don't commit chargeback fraud. Chargeback isn't an escalation in customer service. It isn't the bank "refunding" you. It's you telling your bank that your card has been fraudulently used.
Why would a company allow your account to remain active when it's been flagged for fraud by your bank??

@Trokey66does it specifically state that all your previous purchases with EA will be deleted if you get a refund for 2042?Here is a quote from the Refund and cancelation page:
Contact us for help before you submit a chargeback on your account
If you are entitled to a refund from EA please contact us. Our processes are set up to ensure that all rightfully claimed refunds are granted. We automatically lock any account where a chargeback is requested to prevent fraud. If your account is locked due to suspected fraud, we’ll send you an email with more information, including how to contact us if you think your account has been locked in error.
Locking an account includes for me that they revoke the access to the games which were bought or linked to this account.

See you on the Battlefield
- 4 years agoBoth myself and fiancée went back to BFV, it’s like putting on a nice warm shirt that just came out of the dryer, it’s Battlefield.
They should move operators to Hazard Zone only, add normal solders for AOW, add back all the “Legacy features” and then I’ll accept your next game as a hero shooter and come back to 2042 (doesn’t mean I’ll play your next hero shooter), not making these changes I’ll be skipping your next BF and I’ve been buying them every year since since the original 1942 (still have all the boxes and discs).
I’d be playing WW3 but to me without ability to revive friends it’s a pass for me, I’ve always played as a medic so seeing you kill Battlefield it’s very sad to see…- 4 years ago
Hmmmmm.. I see some correlation between this and the post made ealier, "90% of people dont know how to play this game".
