Battlefield 2042 minimum and recommended PC specs

Have EA released the minimum and recommended PC specs for BF2042???

I have found this on other websites but I'm actually trying to find something from EA

Minimum                                                      Recommended

  • @WTFxxMR_BISHY Doesn't seem too unlikely. Slightly modified frostbite vs BF5 but rendering 64 more players.

Going by BF5 (and hoping they've added some rendering occlusion to players not in line of sight) which runs over 60fps at all times on a 2080 at 3440x1440 just about maxed out, the above recommended will probably be more than fine at 1080p, and then go up to 2080ti/super etc will probably manage 2k-4k at high/medium, and current gen from both vendors will probably manage high to max at 2-4k without too much trouble seeing the performance gap between harware generations there.

With the supply problems on the newest GPU gen, i'd be very surprised if 2042 tried to cater too much to the performance gains on current gen vs making sure it works fairly well on previous gen cards.

    Just a guess of course.
  • @WTFxxMR_BISHY Well done on finding that! Those were the published specs for the technical playtest.

Those specs will probably be close / similar to the final hardware requirements for game, but as others have said, nothing official yet…
  • I seriously doubt that the GTX 1050 TI will the minimum GPU requirement for the game because as one has said, the graphics cards are in short supply in these present times and if this minimum GPU will be the case, plenty of people won't be able to play the game when it will come out.

Besides, like I said in my preposition thread, people don't have time to upgrade to a new GPU for this game from September until December due to some factors such as school or work.

I myself can't upgrade because since I study computer network science, I need a compatible PC with Linux and it seems that the newer ones aren't compatible with Linux. Just a parenthesis here.

So again, I don't think that this will be the minimum requirement. I believe, it would be around like gtx 960 or 760.

@Player55 The shown (by op) min. requirements, were the the ones used for BFV.

Don't expect them to be lowered.

And running min requirements will give a bad experience, we know this from BF1 and BFV.

Min. requirements are meant for being able to run 30 FPS at 1080.
