Would it really hurt DICE to give players 100 Boins for every rank achieved? There is literally nothing worthwhile about ranking up, other than the very early ranks which unlocked a few things. What about special outfits for 100, 150, 200, etc? Nope, nothing.
So much of the "wrapping" on 2042 is missing or pointless. For instance, what is the point of the end of round summary telling you that you've achieved a new record with a weapon, if you can't view all of your records in the Profile? And what if you got extra points for breaking a record? That gives you something to go for. But no, again, nothing.

Yes of course that would hurt them, in their wallet! Any free boins and/or skins (which could also be bought with these boins) will not be bought by players with real money. The live service model is completely build around monetizing content.

Are they really making that much money from selling Boin? Since buying the game I haven't spent another penny on it, and I don't know anyone who has. I'd have thought they want to get more people playing regularly, and giving away Boin with ranks is one way to do that
