@NazT55What nobody seems to be mentioning is to unlock the new gear, we have to play Control Unlocked. It’s the only way. They tease with future opportunities to unlock it, but if you want to earn it now we’ll have to play this mode and earn 80 ribbons. It wouldn’t be the first mode that sucked and nobody wanted to play, but we’re expected to suck it up and play it?? Sure I’ll be happy to play a new mode, and maybe it’s great, but being forced to do it really pisses me off. Once again the devs just don’t get it. Also devs cmon, stop with the changes. You’re not doing the things we want like reversion of the horrible recoil update, or a server browser, or to fix the network lag, or anything else we’ve begged for. All we want at this point is content. They present two weapons as a great benevolent gift from above when it’s been a dribble since release. This is “tremendous live service”?? I’ve been trying it stay positive in the forums but holy hells it’s not easy.

@ElliotLH Good news: Ribbons to unlock XFAD-4 Draugr and DFR Strife can be earned in any official mode, so not event specific!I tested it by playing normal games and the tracker towards 80 ribbons is progressing!🥳

I recommend everyone read those release notes.

There are so many changes coming. Visual Recoil. APS Sentinel, Attack Helos, MacKay (his special tool... .not that one.. his grappling device), Vehicle Repairs (not Engineers), Weapon "balancing"

These changes are a test for next BF game.
More changes will happen.
Also next game will have meta weapons like cod each month and also expect superman, batman skins.

Using current players to test next game why would you not!!
Next game will be not be a upgrade just a different setting with gameplay tweaks that's it.
So once players are happy with tweaks then that's the settings for the next dismal BF game to be released.
Please do not try to defend this game EA/DICE are just bare faced liars with no morals at all.

@Kona_uk Dice haven't done this since BF4 and even BF4 had significant changes compared to BF3 (weapons were very different, levolution etc.)

Actually a big problem has been that Dice changes too many things from game to game and they often implement stupid changes (specialists, tornadoes, behemoths, special classes, V1-rockets, the list is long).

This time we need a lot of changes, making a 2042 version 2 would be a disaster for the franchise and could end up killing the game.

That said, nerfing McKay is a good thing and it should have been done a long time ago. This could lead to a long road of nerfs of other specialist (some other specialist will be abused instead). Perhaps the game ends up being 'playable' when Dice stops supporting the game...
