Battlefield 2042 vs battlefield 6 player retention

EA should still work on 2042, there is lot of people who play 2042 and don't like the new game just because 2042 feels more natural. Why not still drop new maps and fix the Op little bird or vehicles in general so they keep newbies and hardcore players at base. I mean they never release good maps for the game and I believe it still have good potential.

  • Why not? There’s one simple answer; money!

After 3.5 years this game has reached the end of its economic lifecycle. There won’t be sufficient revenue coming in from new copy sales and cosmetic sales to justify investment in development time of new maps.

Not to mention that they need all their development resources for the new game.

  • It seems my previous reply was a bit premature, we are getting a supply content drop in BF2042 as part of the road to Battlefield 6. It contains a new map, new weapons, new vehicles and a battlepass.

    • New map: Iwo Jima
    • New weapons: KS2000 assault rifle and Lynx sniper rifle
    • New vehicles: A10 Warthog brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt, and SU-25TM Frogfoot
